Honestly thinking OJ was framed might be dumber than thinking the earth is flat and the eclipse is the sun eating itself.

Good move signing Uzomah. Now we can keep Albert O inactive every week.

The only other person who one could remotely think committed the NBS and Goldman murders is serial killer Glen Rogers who claimed he committed the murders, but these were baseless confessions and nothing has actually linked him to the murders, he was a habitual liar as well.

This is a stealthy good pickup with some upside.

Edit: actually, I thought he was younger than 31 for some reason.

He was looking quite good in Cincy years ago. Signed a decent FA deal if i recall correctly. And Im not sure what happened to him. I guess the Jets happened.

Hes a good #2 TE. Hes a good blocking TE who is also useful in the receiving game.

This is another one of those signings where the guy isnt quite good enough to make you pass on a great prospect. But hes good enough that he might beat out a late rounder or UDFA and youre ok with him being that #2 TE on the depth chart.

He eliminates the need, or appeal of taking someone like Sanders earlier than we should be taking a TE. Makes you comfortable with just taking a flier on someone like All who might be a star but held back a bit by injuries.

Yes.  Nicole and Ron had drug issues, owed money and the cartels murdered them for it.  The style in which they were murdered eith the level of brutality is a signature of the drug cartels.

All my years of watching TV crime shows goes up in smoke. I was led to believe that there is a hierarchy in the drug distribution business in which each layer is responsible to police its own business -- stupid TV misinformation. Little did I know it worked like this: "Hello, is this the Cartel Help Hotline? Yes, I need help. I sold a bunch of your product and now I am getting stiffed by these two Hollywood types. It's a messy business and since they won't pay me, I can't pay you. I've let you know, so now it is your problem to collect or do something to them. Also, even though I am short on paying for the drugs I got from you, as explained, can I get the next shipment on credit?"

Yup, the Cartels come to collect, one user at a time.

If there's one thing the cartels are known for, it's to not make it widely known they kill people to intimidate others make them scared to ever cross them, but rather stealthily killing individual couples and pinning it on innocent people.

drafttek eagles mock

Guyton

Beebe

Pearsall

Renardo Green

Grayson Murphy (drafted the wrong Murphy. Shoulda got Gabriel).

Fabien Lovett

yes. They never want to take credit for killing anyone. Intimidation is not a cartel tactic at all. Very incognito.

Meh - the cartel didn't do it.  They wouldn't need to hide it from the government, as the government already allows them to freely operate within the U.S. anyway (I learned all that from watching Ozark, in case you're wondering)

The reality is that it sucks how big of a role athletes and celebrities play in our lives. We almost have to treat what we see on the field and on TV separate from the real person. It's also a reason that we shouldn't idolize any of them. Sure, we can benefit from their talents for our entertainment, but that's about it.

OJ Simpson was a generational RB, and should have been one for the Eagles. He was a very marketable guy in commercials and movies and was also a good sport in being able to poke fun at himself. I relate it to Bill Cosby. I love the Cosby Show and his stand up and while I haven't watched the show in some time, I'm sure I could binge watch it and not think about what he did (I'm also betting he was one of MANY celebrities doing the same thing during the 70s), just like I can watch OJ Simpson highlights and say damn, he was good.

He could really run through……airports.

In 2025, Howie makes all of the picks.

He would have to bring me in as an advisor.  Just so when he goes to high five me, I can give him a look of disappointment and decline.

There was  no actual evidence of that but the judge did allow Johnnie Cochran to ask about cartel necktie murders hypothetically.  It's just much more likely an irate ex-husband that had previously committed domestic assault committed the murders.

Dane compared Fuaga to Mike Iupati (A OT who moved to OG) and now all I want is Fuaga😅

Sheil and Solak have their new pod out. I'll be posting some of their takes from it here and there since there's really not much else to discuss til the draft.

They started with the scenarios they'd most dislike from round 1.

Solak's was trading up for Jared Verse. Says getting rid of Reddick, signing Huff, drafting Nolan Smith, restructuring Sweat... and then to use your first pick on a guy who gets you 6 sacks a year would be gross.

Sheil's was trading up for Brock Bowers. High risk position to draft that high, would be limited in targets to start, bad use of resources with other needs, etc.

Uzomah is pretty mid. There's no guarantee he even beats out Albert O and/or Calcatera. Not sure why some people think this was a good signing.

Why the F does he think Verse is a 6 sacks a year guy?

lol.

Its so late in free agency. They needed a TE2. Uzomah has been a solid starter and his skillset is perfect for the #2 role which is our need. Hes a good blocker who is also good enough in the passing game to contribute here and there.

Hes not taking over for Goedert. He has no upside left. He is what he is. Solid player who takes away a need at the position. Its another example of howie wanting to go in to drafts with 0 needs so he can really try to stick to the board and take BPA.

It IS a good signing.

Then Solak is brain dead.  The Eagles need a true DE who can do things like set an edge, defend the run, power an OT backwards and still get double-digit sacks.  Verse would be a fantastic pick.

Maybe not fantastic -- but I'd categorize it as very good to excellent.

Says he feels he has low ceiling and not great athletic traits. Thinks he'll be in the league for a while, but never be special. Tongue in cheek called him Derek Barnett.

It IS a good signing.

His career high is 493 yards and that was a starter in 2021. He is now 31 and has less than 300 yards over the last two seasons in 27 games. He's far closer to a camp body than a legit number 2 TE. It gives them another option and he may very well be their number 2 TE but some people are acting like he's a lock and this great backup TE and that's a massive stretch.

He's not wrong.

How many targets is TE 2 getting over Smith, Brown, Goedert, Campbell, and Barkley?
