I think the age matters, but at least he has pedigree. He was a big time recruit, so it’s not like he was a guy who popped as a 23 year old against a bunch of kids. But being older with an extensive injury history at a non-premium position is a problem.

The injury history is a potential problem; more worried about the shoulder than the knees - but I think he gets on the field and can play fast.

Its very interesting how he doesnt create much separation, yet when he has the ball in his hands youd think hes a little jitterbug gadget type WR with the moves he has.

Im wondering if he just didnt refine his route running enough yet and he will learn how to create that separation.

OR, something I noticed was that often he looked NFL open and by the time the ball arrived the DB was on him. Thats mostly the QBs fault either with late throws, inaccurate throws, or weak throws that take a while to get there. I sure am not impressed by his arm.

It just makes me wonder exactly how PFF calculates the separation grade. Are they measuring separation at the moment the ball is being caught? Because if they are, his grade is terrible and its mostly his QBs fault. It reminds me a lot of Tee Higgins and how much worse Lawrence made him look. Fooled a lot of people in to not being high enough on Tee.

But, theres also his slow 40 time, and fastest WR in the gauntlet. Very conflicting statistics out there about him. Hes a very confusing player.

Maybe it's just the Florida State thing but the build up around him feels very similar to Anquan Boldin. Boldin didn't test great but he just makes plays. I think he can be that type of WR, and that would be perfect for the Eagles WR3.

These uniforms are even worse than the pictures I saw beforehand.   So stupid.

One of the worst things about them is how Nike and their cringeworthy story telling is all about how they represent Philadelphia and the flag of the city with the colors but the colors of the flag are least represented.

I want Nike removed from all professional sports leagues.   Since they have gotten involved with sports uniforms it has just gotten worse and worse.

Maybe - I’d rather take a shot at a real separator as I think Hurts plays it safe with the ball unless you’re AJ.

Bailey falter mowing us down is as bad as the jerseys

Long overdue for the Eagles to honor TO at a game.

Can Nike not make the silver pants because they are carcinogenic or just more incompetence?

Nike and fanatics are incompetent. It’s a bad combo. Why a lot of teams don’t have their city connects for baseball is cause fanatics didn’t get it done and Nike has had that issue in the past. Remember when we first went to Nike they basically just used Reebok material for like a year and a half til they were able to get the midnight green color in their style

I could be wrong, but I think the Packers are still using the Reebok template and material. Not sure why other teams didn't do the same.

That’s why it’s good to see them in game action before making a final assessment.  There’s actually too much of the dark blue; I prefer the lighter blue close to the shoulders.  The pants shouldn’t be completely dark — there should be the lighter blue through the pants as well.

The yellow stripe on the pants is also far too narrow, almost unnoticeable.

No wonder the Eagles always use him to block on WR screens. Look at the size of his quads.

I really have no idea. I posted the very informative tweet in the thread last night. I was hoping someone else would decipher it. Its more thinking than I want to do when Im just trying to enjoy some basketball.

No ties. Pacers and 76ers have the same record, Pacers win the tiebreaker.

Boldin was such a beast

As a converted safety, to the extent that an edge rusher will be asked to cover, I think its pretty safe to say he can handle it.

He literally lined up over WRs at times as an edge in coverage. Youll see it on the first play of this video. But then watch where he lines up at 1:27. We will be ready to fire Fangio if we see our edge lined up this far away from the ball. Hes like the boundary CB on that side! lol.

Quite honestly if you watch Edgerrin Cooper in all of his coverage snaps, and you look at Hunt, Hunt does just as much. People in here are going crazy over Cooper's coverage ability. People are calling him the best coverage backer in the draft. I dont buy that one but. But if Cooper gets that kind of praise it should be fair play for Hunt too. There are tons of LBs in this draft that never line up where he lines up.

At 7:22 he actually appears to be in man coverage.

Its almost comical the way they use him. Hes not a guy who hasnt been asked to cover. He has a lot to learn as far as being an LB. Get stronger. Develop rush moves. Shed blocks. But as a safety, turned edge who still did a TON of covering as an Edge one thing I feel very confidently about is his ability to handle Edge coverage responsibilities.

4.64 against WKU is not equivocal to NFL level speed

Joel’s down. Shocker.

he went to shrine. got an invite to senior bowl. performed well at the combine. Hes done everything he needs to do.

And again, the point of my post earlier was to say its important to remember he is an edge. So what he is asked to do in coverage will be fairly minimal. He will drop in to zone and cover guys in short areas.

Rarely will he be trying to run step for step with a RB down the field, or match a TEs route with him.

What he has done in college is more than what he will be asked to do in the NFL.

He has more than enough athleticism to get adequate range in his drops. He will never be lined up as a boundary corner from the edge position in the NFL. He will rarely or never be lined up over a slot WR. His college experience over-prepared him for what his coverage responsibilities will be as an edge.

No, we didn't.   Those were not the right color.
