  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Not to rile everyone up, but the Eagles instagram posted Devonta Smith’s highlights and…damn…that’s a lot of under thrown and mistimed balls getting bailed out by Smith.

Yes, because they're highlights of Smith doing incredible things.

Just saying... when the entire coaching staff gets overhauled, you really have to ask why the guy at the helm wasn't canned too.

In a vacuum, yes you do have to ask.

But if the same HC got the team in a position to be a ref call away from winning a SB the year before, he’s probably earned some benefit of the doubt to hire new guys when the guys he originally hired get poached for being successful?

There’s a draft for that?  I thought they just chose up teams during a sewing party …

Yup... or he was just riding coattails.

Catching a ball in stride and running with it is incredible too.

Sure, but they're not as fun for a highlight video.

Cmon.  They are showing the big plays, not preferentially selecting bad throws.  That’s a reach.

It just so rarely happens here for Smith they couldnt possibly make a highlight video of those plays.

Basically 4 years, $91mm when you factor in picking up the 5th year. Good deal.

WR1!  Glad this happened.

This is what I was hoping from Davis or Smith

Added 10 pounds of muscle I'd reckon. That always ends well. Another hard hitting report from Dov

My favorite offseason glow up was when Kelvin Benjamin showed up looking like a nose tackle

I know I’m late to the party, been a busy day - finally home.

Did they basically activate Devonta’s 5th year option next season 15 mil then the extension starts after that @ 25 mil per year for 3 years?

Edit: NVM - just read back and yep, that’s what they did.

Good deal - win-win situation, imo.

I thought of that possibility too…it’s why I listened to Kelce’s opinion of him as well.  The players, for right or wrong, respected him…or lied about it (which I find doubtful)

Im still myself not convinced about Sirianni…but the players are the reason why I’m willing to give him temporary benefit of the doubt

The logic of getting rid of AJ Brown stupifies me.

He’s a head case. But he’s got some years of very good football in him. I’m curious to see how he does in the ‘vet’ role now that a lot of key players are gone.  I’m one of the biggest, idk if haters is the right word, but apprehensive people on him.  But his value to the team is undeniable.  This team has IMO 2 top 10 WR’s currently.  As long as he’s healthy and not a complete distraction he stays

Which coach did Kelce bash?  Did he even say anything negative about Chip?  I can't recall it if he did.

Daniel Jeremiah talking draft on the bootleg football podcast.

Whatever happened to Mike Mayock after he left the Raiders? I truly enjoyed his NFL draft work.

He has shown some bad looks in certain situations, but I'd hardly label him a head case. It simply boils down to maturity. The hope for every player is that he continues to mature. A guy like T.O. never seemed to mature as time progressed, so with him, the antics became baggage. With Brown, sure he reacted to situations in ways where the media can turn them into distractions, but he seems smart enough to see this and has tried to take a couple measures to minimize the chance of repeating the same things.

I kind of feel like teams put captain labels on some players a little too early. So as fans, we see them as leaders and when a little immaturity comes out we tend to make a big deal of that.

He actually lives in Philly. He works with artificial intelligence developers now, believe it or not

Jurgens is just built for Center. He's not a RG. Meanwhile, Dickerson looks a bit slimmer and Steen looks like he's come back a bit more built, even though it's a tough angle.
