If you look at who they have met with, there's only a few prospects that are potential first round picks: Fautanu, Guyton and Morgan.  The Eagles don't telegraph a lot but the list of players that they have met with, interviewed or had in for a top 30 visit is pretty telling in 2 ways. First, they usually do not pick from players not in some way on that list.  Second, it gives you a sense of what positions they are interested in drafting.  My view of their list is that they are more likely to take an OL in the second round vs. the first.  I think it's possible they could go for either Guyton, Jordan or Fautanu in the first.  Jackson-Powers is a possible other pick but I just don't think they will draft a center and move him to Guard.  From a consensus public board ranking, Fautanu looks like the only trade up candidate.

Simililarly at the Edge position the only player that's a first round pick potentially is Latu.  There is seeming no interest in Verse.

CB has the most potential first round picks.  It looks to me that they are highly likely to take one of the first round CBs.  The question is whether they have one of them as much better than the others in terms of a trade up potential.

I dont know exactly how the local prospect thing works, but I wonder if Verse is secretly going to be at the local pro day being that he is from Berwick PA.

Dont think Guyton or Morgan are 1st rounders.

What kind of The Bachelor garbage is this?

It's actually a group birthday celebration. Harris doesn't care that they're all born on different days, they're celebrating dammit. Then, the winner of the QB carousel contest will be determined by being the only QB to have their friends show up to their birthday party, you pancake eating mothaFa.

New 2 round mock on TDN. Eagles picks

When the decision is this big... you block off the week on your calendar and you make the time.   Drafting the right QB sets up your franchise for a decade plus... drafting the wrong one sets you back 3-5 years.

Guyton shouldn't be a first round pick. I could see where the Eagles think his attributes make him worth a first.  I would not like the pick.

Playing with fire is fun.

You got Spike Eskin on WIP right now calling for a center or guard in the first round.

Bo Wulf said today if he had to make a prediction today for the Eagles guy at 22 it would be Guyton. He's starting to think project OT will be the guy based on the way the board might fall. He brought up what I think is the Eagles biggest dilemma facing them headed into the draft is, is it worth trading up and giving up a 2nd. Which leads me to 3 questions headed into Sunday and I think these will be the 3 big Eagles questions headed into next Thursday.

1) If you could trade up for Arnold or Mitchell but have to give up 50 or 53, would you rather have Arnold/Mitchell or Wiggins/DeJean + Cooper/Wilson/(insert whatever realistic target you like at 50 or 53 here).

2) Similarly, would you rather trade up to get JC Latham, Fautanu, possibly Fuaga and give up a 2nd or have Mims/Guyton + whoever at 50/53.

3) I don't know the Eagles grading system, but let's just use letter grades to simplify it. Would you rather have a G/T who grades as an A guard and a B tackle. Or a tackle who grades as an A tackle who doesn't play guard at all?

The staying put options are better than the trade up options.

But, I do feel like DeJean brings so much extra to the table, and would require only a small move. So he is the guy Id trade up for.

Oh yeah my bad, in a way that almost makes it worse, the guy who took 2017 Carson Wentz and turned him into 2020 Carson Wentz.

1) Wiggins and Cooper

2) Latham

3) Need G/T ability for me.  See #2 above.

4)  Package #50 and 53 to move up to pick 24/25 and draft Wiggins at #22 and Mims at #25.

5)  Trade out of the first round entirely and get picks #33 and 65 from CAR.  Draft at 33, 50, 53, and 65.

Actually guard is fine, as long as it's Latham or Fautanu. I'd be ok with Fuaga as well. Center though makes no sense as Cam isn't anything great at RG

I don't get it with Guyton. Seems to have rock bottom floor, moderate to high ceiling. But as I have said and will continue to believe until draft night, I think it'll be Guyton.

Me? I want Latham, Mims, or Fautanu if they go OL. 1st round value at OL outside of Guyton is really good this year. Decent chance a CB like Tampa or Rakestraw are within range in R2. The OL group will be picked through by then.

Been thinking about the first scenario, although I'm not a huge fan of Wiggins'. If Eagles could pull off Mims/DeJean, I'd jump out of my seat.

Your trade plus a move up from 65 would be an interesting haul. Trade value chart says they could get to about 58 by moving 120 and 65. Think I'd prefer Mims/R1 CB to 33, 50, 53, and 58, but they'd get some solid players that way. I'd swing for the fences.

Do these press conferences ever start on time?

That's confident Howie. Bodes well for next week. You can tell when Howie is in Howie szn mode based on mood.

The better question would be... why can't this press conference start on time?   They literally have nothing to hold them up from being punctual.  This is just disrespectful behavior on the part of the organization.   They don't respect the time of the reporters who come to the PCs, and they don't respect the time of the fans that tune in.   Which is why I don't bother to tune in.  They aren't going to say anything meaningful, and they aren't going to do so in an economy of words.  So, I'll wait for the synopsis to come out later... but, it's almost always the same thing:

Sirianni will throw out a lot of words... but they won't add up to anything.
