Lurie:  What do you think of Belichek?

Howie:  Too old.

Lurie:  (Raises eyebrows with Julian stifling a laugh in the background).

Howie:  Let’s stick with Nick

Lurie:  Okay, we’ll see how this year goes.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Really hope he reconsider if they make the finals.

Ron Hextall better get his act together or they will be looking for a new GM. He can only ride on fanfare for so long.

They probably should fire Peter Laviolette

Kicking the tires on everyone that might fit.  Like that approach.  Zoom meetings.  Position coaches scouting.  Dillard lesson looms large.

It's time to also move on from Lindros and LeClair.

Belichick would be a good defensive coordinator.

How disrespectful by Kelce.  Guy has a drinking problem.

One way to fix this, come back this year and win another one

Rather have Saban. Saban made Belichek a better coach but a lot of what BB did in the secondary came from Saban.  BB was good at quick adjustments to his defense.  But that was mainly before the current CBA.  He had his defense practice everything so he could make adjustments on the fly.   That has gone downhill for his defenses with the last two CBAs (plus he kind of flopped at drafting).

In prior years, have the Eagles been heavy at certain positions when doing the top 30 visits? I'm wondering if that is meaningful to their draft intentions or do they typically do the due diligence on who they expect to be there when they pick and it happens to be a lot of corners this year.

Likely story, it’s probably in a trash bag at the bottom of a closet in his basement with his mummers outfit.

Saban's 100% done, IMO.

Kellen Moore is younger than Sirainni... .

I doubt he has interest in just being a DC (especially at his age), after running the entire show for so long.

How is it 'disrespectful'?   Who is he disrespecting?

They often draft guys who visit or meet with at the combine. This year very heavy on CB/OL. I'd be stunned if either wasn't the first rounder.

I think Solak mentioned Mitchell is the only defensive player he has a top 10 grade on. I think he goes too early for us to move up but hey who knows.

Oooh, the tea leaves finally say something positive in Steen’s favor!

I would guess this was posted on here a few days ago, but I just got around to listening to it.  Interesting that Dicecco makes reference to the RG position in this discussion and basically says 'The Eagles drafted Steen thinking he could play guard in addition to tackle, and he can't'

Wondering if he's heard this from someone inside the building, or he's just making an inference .....

Thanks.

I would love to see them use a 1st on a player for the secondary. They should not be thinking they have Slay and Bradberry and some young scrubs. Get the talent. I can also see them taking an O lineman.
