Andre Dillard disagrees.

Howie deserves to take some lumps... and he doesn't deserve to take a bow for Rasul Douglas' success elsewhere.   The Eagles got NO benefit from his development elsewhere.   Check Douglas' transaction history.  He was here for 3 full seasons.  Then was cut prior to the 2020 season.   Picked up by the Panthers, then the Raiders, then the Texans, then the Cardinals... and finally landed with the Packers as an emergency injury replacement signed off the Cardinals' PS.    In what way is Howie connected to his success?   And check the CBs that they kept in place of him in 2020.  Are any of them still in the league other than Slay and Maddux?   Someone made the decision to dump Douglas in favor of those others.  Howie was part of that decision, and the decision to bring in those others.   Howie didn't succeed with Douglas.  He failed.  And even Howie's biggest fans should be willing to admit that.

Not saying he doesn't. Two things can be true. It's a multi-part failure and the accountability is spread across Howie and his minions.

And the discussion began regarding the suitability for Howie to take a bow over Douglas.  He doesn't have anything to be proud of in that regard.  Of course... in Lurie's book, Howie likely gets an A+ for it... along with all the other guys that he didn't draft, that also went on to have great success elsewhere.

I feel like Dallas is about to blow it up. Only reason I can think of the lack of moves. Dak is good as gone. If they're smart, they'll part ways with Micah so that they can get a QB and start over.

Solak is correct on this one. Cooper has 0 LB skills. Hes just an athlete out there who needs to be kept clean.

The Eagles could draft Trotter Jr.  Pair him with Nakobe and you've got two identical LBs.  The Two Deans -- just like The Two Ronnies:

If he needs to market himself, he must be feeling some heat then.

If you remember, they drafted him and he was a zone CB. But they traded for Darby who was said to be an excellent press coverage guy. And then the CBs were made to play off man. Which fit the strengths of neither of those guys.

They were trying to get bigger and better at pressing. Then Schwartz never had his guys press. He had a bunch of slower zone CBs playing man.

Under Joe Douglas it was a mismatched hodgepodge of talent with no rhyme or reason.

The year before that was Mills, and the year before that was Eric Row who was a player without a home, and JaCorey Shepherd.

So you went from a few years of Chip Kelly and his right hand man screwing things up, to Joe Douglas's terrible draft boards that didnt fit team needs.

You’re telling me Schwartz planned to move to a press man defense, had Howie draft Jones and Douglas and trade for Darby and then just scrapped the whole thing all together?

So after the Smith contract we're still at around $29 million in cap space?  What's the next big deal/domino to happen?

After last year's collapse they should all be feeling some heat.

Whatever story it takes to shield Howie from criticism.

Bradberry for Patrick Surtain II straight up.

Gonna need some picks coming our way if we want that deal

Solak likes Dadrion Demerson a lot for the Eagles at safety(if they take one) on day two.

Is that the flat earth guy?

Tyler Owens from Texas Tech "doesn't believe in space" so that's probably who you're thinking of. Unless there's 2 of em, which unfortunately wouldn't surprise me anymore.

You'd think the fact that they were in college and required to go to classes would preclude that, but here we are.

Ahh. I got my Texas Tech safeties confused.

@HazletonEagle

I'm done with Simmons man. Disappointed he hasn't signed here yet

What's taking so long with the Isaiah Rodgers decision? You'd think having that information before the draft would be a huge help.

Goodell is too busy chilling on an island before the draft

Trading for Micah Parsons

Who's "my guy"? I don't watch college football so I don't have a lot of skin in this game outside of wanting to make the team better.

people who don't want objective data typically have "their guy" who they want to protect against objective data.

The team needs to roll over 15 million or so into next season. They need 10 million for rookies this year. Not sure you will see any more moves.

Part of the problem is the veracity of the data.  It's not like anything that's reported on the internet is true.  These sites are often using handtimed double hearsay reports of physical performance.
