  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

The Eagles could draft Trotter Jr.  Pair him with Nakobe and you've got two identical LBs.  The Two Deans -- just like The Two Ronnies:

I've been a fan of Steen since he was a Bama. I liked the pick as well. I have full confidence in him. His only start was against the Cowgirls and he played really well against that front

I still like him too…I just view him more as a left side help than right.  I know he filled in at RG briefly, but he’s primarily been a left side guy.  I haven’t factored him into the ‘future Lane replacement’ discussion because of that.

That being said, I would defer to @just relax or other posters that know far more about the oline than I do.  If they feel that we should consider him in that regard, I would gladly hear their opinions…

It’s seems pretty straight forward to me that he’s a RG or the 6th man. I don’t think he’ll be the future RT.

Can we see Steen play on 3rd down against a non Micah Parsons pass-rusher before we think he can't start?

Sixers have become nick Castellanos

Effing Sixers…

I wish this game was a win or go home. I dont want to think about this team playing another game. Possibly winning, and then embarrassing themselves in the playoffs. Why cant we just end the embarrassment tonight? Why do we deserve this?

Fan Duel says the Phillies have a 88.7% probability of winning against Colorado, even though they just gave up 5 runs in the 8th inning.

I’d put it at just over 50/50 at this point

Well yes…my thinking was he was the RG or Jordan’s backup at LT…or Landon’s at LG as it stands now.  I see Hennessy more as Jurgens backup at Center than Landon’s backup (even if he could serve there at need).

Who would we rather have at LG if Landon went down, Steen or Hennessy?

I thought you were implying that Howie hired Douglas to be Howie's boss. Which is technically what happened, but that wasnt Howie's doing.

Howie, why did you draft Sydney Jones?

he can. I prefer to criticize him for the real ones. Not the made up ones.

The eagles called it unique. If the Ravens were the only team doing it, it was unique. Youll argue semantics now but thats how it was talked about. Joe Douglas was some genius from a model organization when it comes to scouting and he was bringing their revolutionary system here and Howie's system was no more. That was specifically explained in a press conference.

They also called themselves the Gold Standard... before they won a ring, while the Patriots were building a dynasty.

They say lots of stuff... it's called SPIN and PR.

correct. It was spin and PR when they pretended Howie was in charge by saying he had final say. He controlled nothing else about the whole scoutng and grading process. Joe ran the show.

Yup.   Protect your boy, at all costs... all the time.

he literally needs no protection. He is a top 2 GM in the league. Everyone outside of the EMB recognizes it.

Every GM makes mistakes.

Rasul Douglas was simply a coaching mistake (see Schwartz, Jim). From the 2017 draft. I'm putting Sidney Jones and Pumphrey 100% on Howie/Douglas/scouting.

Nick Batum providing what PJ Tucker couldn't last year.
