It’s stupid to prohibit active players from placing bets on their own team?

To win? Yea, it is. How is that affecting the outcome or integrity of the game? Is he not already trying to win?

Farts = funny

Hey look... another team with a black uniform, how truly visionary.  This will really set them apart.

The color black is truly the future of the NFL.    Here's a sneak peek at Super Bowl LX from directly over the field:

The helmet is decent or better; the jersey is absolutely hideous

The historical norm is that the majority of first round picks are busts, and even more so in the late first round.

This isn’t a Howie thing, it’s an NFL thing.

Then if I accept that as gospel it makes even more sense to trade down and make more picks in the first two rounds, rather than staying put.

Looks too much like Panthers

Dicecco talking players that make sense for the Eagles in the draft.  He doesn’t seem to have any intel, but has some interesting rankings on OT, LB, CB, TE, etc.

He also views Cooper DeJean as a safety in the NFL:

Baldy's favorite LB is Wilson. Likes Edgerrin Cooper more than Colson. Said the way Cooper dominated when playing Alabama was so impressive. And how instinctual he looked when spying Daniels vs LSU.

Everyone seems to have different takes on Cooper.

I would take any one of Cooper, Wilson, Colson and Trotter.  Few other are interesting and so strong possibilities as depth on day 3. But LB is a true need given most of the current roster are on one year deals.  Curious about OLB/Edge types too.  Think the sparseness at that position in the draft drives earlier picks than some draftniks rate the players at this point.  Lot,of,one year deals on the roster at this point.

Really like the spread of Ss too.  Arguably, the Eagles are looking for a fourth S at this point.  Based on grades, there are some interesting candidates on Day 3 for that position.

Worries me that the depth of WRs, OL and nickel CBs leads to a Pumphrey like  selection. IMHO need at least a slot WR and some OL depth. Like to see at least one CB grabbed.

The lower picks have an even lower conversion rate. It’s basically a 40% chance at around pick #22 vs about 30% in the second round and 15% in the third (again, weighted higher the higher the pick is).

RIP Dickey Betts

Got to see the band before Duane died. He and Dickie together were unbelievably good.  Nice thing about growing up in the South was seeing all the great southern rock bands before tragedy stuck.  If I was going looking for Betts clone, I would find Chris Stapleton today.

Speaking for only myself, as a 55 year old male, I could not even begin to tell you what any professional athlete's social media profile pages look like.  The only social media that I currently use for active discussions is this thread (and some other NFL message boards)… If those even count as social media since they are anonymous.

I do visit LinkedIn and FB once or twice a month to clear out notifications and to see what’s up with close contacts, but that’s it

I would actually find it refreshing for an athlete to not be, or at least not frequent, social media… But that’s probably too much to ask in today’s world

X is useful for the Eagles beat reporters.  You can isolate that.  This is pretty much it but I do use LinkedIn for following some former work colleagues.  Non of that other nonsense and regular X is unbelievable for the BS posted there.  But this is the only social media I post in.

He changed the profile pic to Brady. Before that, it was Kobe Bryant. If he's trying to harness inspiration from winners, so what. It's the media who froth at the mouth making click bait controversy, and fans that overanalyze this stuff as well.

He can do whatever he wants. I really don’t care. But one should know the waters you’re swimming in with the cesspool of Twitter/X and social media in general and know if you put Brady up as your picture, it’s going to get unnecessarily dissected. So that’s why I said he kind of brings it on himself with that stuff. Hurts is barely active on social media. I wouldn’t be surprised if he just has a publicist/manager run his Twitter. Maybe Brown can take a lesson from him.

Did you read Roobs article last week about the history of the 22nd pick league wide?  It is depressing.

Moving down could be hard as there will only be a couple players (I think) potentially available there that will induce a trade up from another team.  And said players could be ones we want.  This draft seems kinda weak except for the QBs.

QBs, OTs, and EDGE are usually what get people to trade up. There should be a couple of those available.

If it's OT or EDGE, I think the Eagles make the pick.

Yeah most of the major outlets just have the victims age, this Twitter account is the only one reporting the neck and hammer stuff, I wonder how accurate that is.
