I could see a trade up like this for Verse or Latham.

If they traded up and picked Verse with Arnold and Fautanu still on the board, I'd be furious. And I like Verse more than most.

Shame. One of the last good ones.

I always considered him a bit of an a-hole to people who weren't Ray Didinger.  I enjoyed the format of his show though with Ray and beyond and talk of movies or whatever else they were watching.  He always had a hate for the Sixers and the process which I couldn't stand.  He's certainly better than much of what is left on sports radio in this town though.

Double steak, white rice and lettuce.

Yea, I’m out on this guy.

Maybe one of the streaming services should offer a paid service for an announcer free view of the game. I'd pay for that.

I’d be more upset trading up for Fautanu. He’s a guard in the NFL.

If we trade up for an OT, it’s Latham or bust in my view. No one else is worth it.

Glen is good, the problem with their show is some callers wait on hold for over an hour and only get literally 20 seconds on the air. I know they have a long board of calls, but it's rude to disrespect peoples time like that. Just take fewer callers. I don't know how anyone would wait on hold for that long to make one point and get dropped that quickly.

Would love to draft Fautanu. He will be a day 1 starter at RG and will be a perennial pro-bowler for the next decade.

Instant upgrade and long term building block. Would give us the best Guard duo in the NFL.

Take him at 22? Absolutely. Trade a second round pick for him? No.

You can get pro bowl guards later. You could get someone like  Graham Barton or Jordan Morgan with a trade down.

Idk about that Verse is a pretty damn good DE.  They may not have to go up that far though to get him.

This front office has always valued the lines over other positions.  With Sweat and BG gone next year, they need to get younger there.

Don't get me wrong I love Arnold's game but I think the lines get priority.  That's why Latham is so enticing with Johnson’s day coming.  He can play guard now then kick out to RT when Lane calls it.

This is probably the cause of the Daniels odds drop for #2 overall

@UK Eagle

It's an interesting one. They are both poking the hornets nest, but also putting a fishing rod out for teams under them to panic and trade up to get their Q0B.

Not a trick that can be pulled off too often as talk will get around players/agents. But to rebuild a franchise, not a bad idea.

As for the odds.  Someone could have made some money but buying on the dip.

The absolute worst, dumbest, thing we can do is trade up for an EDGE. It's one thing to stay put and take a BPA. Trading up for an EDGE in this class with our current roster? Malpractice.

So, its a safe bet, then?

I don't think Howie will trade up for a pass rusher. I'd jump back to the Fire Howie camp immediately. That means they would have spent their biggest free agent signing and two best picks to replace a hole that they themselves have created, and in a year where pass rushers aren't great. Would be absolutely moronic.

I still am not on board with Latham either, because I have questions about his OT abilities. If they're going OL I'd rather they just stand pat and take Mims tbh. Don't care that he won't play right away they could draft someone at RG later in the draft.

But I think my overall preference is to rebuild the CB position starting in round 1. Gotta start sooner or later, might as well do it now.

I agree with the first part. Howie created a hole, and if he gives up a 2nd and a 1st to fix it, he's out of his freaking mind. Honestly, moving back in this draft is probably the best move. This feels more like a lottery kind of draft like when they got the fireman. He's an idiot when he gets in the "make a big move to get the headlines" frame of mind. I'd bet a lot he moves up.

Counterpoint: this is a relatively shallow draft by all accounts .After round 2ish there is a noticable drop off in high end prospects. So moving up to secure those guys might be smart

His top DE is Latu. Says knock on Verse is his run defense.

Me too, i hate when the announcers drone on about nothing that has anything to do with the current game, id rather watch the above format.

Latu for me is my number 1 target, I think Howie would have to trade up for him, I dont think the injury history will drop him to 22 and I think hes the most polished best pass rusher in the draft and could make an immediate impact.

Howie loves building in the trenches and loves using 1st round picks on lineman and I think hes the top Lineman on either side of the ball in this draft.

If he didnt have the injury history I think hed be a top 5 pick.

Not sure how far hell drop but if hes within striking distance for Howie I dont see how Howie passes him up

didn’t realize this had potentially two meanings. I was thinking more about the sixers letting us down

NBA is a long game. Sixers couldn’t hit crap vs. Miami for a half then all the sudden came on after brickin for chicken. Frankly this series likely comes down to who finishes well in the 4th. I’d be surprised if there’s a lot of blow outs

A good start is always better than a bad start though.   If they win each 12 minutes... they win the game.   Quarter one - check.

Need to get at least split to start this series. Love if we got both. Frankly this is the game i figured where the Knicks might struggle early not playing since Sunday morning last week and the Sixers having played a game Wednesday night and might look more crisp

Always best to get the first one on the road.

2nd quarter starting like crap.
