Nah, just a sentimental take to say otherwise.

He started 13 games in 5 years on his rookie contract and then became a free agent testing the market after calling himself a bust.  Everything good he did as an Eagle came after that.  If you like Graham, call him a great FA signing.

That’s some mental gymnastics.

How would you like it if our next mid first round pick has no meaningful impact for the duration of their rookie contract?

Was that the original topic? You were talking about Howie draft picks.  I don't remember seeing what the draft picks did on their rookie deals.  Wouldn't that be a another discussion?

Well it’s unlikely BG even was much of a Howie pick, so it’s a moot point then anyway.  But I’d say what a draft pick does on their rookie deal is an important consideration of what kind of pick they were.

This is some serious after the fact BS rationalization. BG had a serious injury that impacted his career for years. It usually ends careers. He was a terrific pick who took longer to pan out because of an injury - post draft - than anyone could have wanted or predicted. Without that injury, and even in spite of it, he’s been a great player for the Eagles.

This was, pure and simple, a trolling job, which is beneath you.

I wouldn’t like it, but I also wouldn’t disqualify him as a draft pick based on that criteria since, you know, he was actually draft pick.

Granted.

In your opinion are the reasons he would drop more than the reasons his stock would soar?

Yes.

For whatever reason, right or wrong, teams just don’t value safeties or nickel corners like they do outside corners.

Usually teams look in the 2nd or 3rd rounds for safeties and 3rd or 4th rounds for nickel corners.

That’s the broader market, anyway. Of course there are some exceptions, but even then, how often does a safety go in the top 20?

I think DeJean probably goes in the 20-30 range because as you correctly point out, he is extremely versatile and a playmaker with good athleticism. He’s a really good prospect, but his profile is just the wrong role to go in the top 20. So unless a team feels he can be a permanent outside corner I don’t think he goes top 20, the general consensus is that’s not where he ends up playing.

Just saw a stat that Iowa played only 17 percent of their snaps in man coverage.

You should of added that to your original post then. Yes I wouldn't want to wait 4 or 5 years for a draft pick to do something.

Well the Eagles played almost all of their snaps with no coverage

Penix is a no-brainer in the 2nd round. Hope Howie pulls the trigger on it.

Trade up for a DB 🤔 That would be a first ever for Howie... maybe even the Eagles organization as a whole. Still can't believe it's been 22 years since they drafted a first round DB

It would take some balls to pick Penix.

I hope you’re not planning on going to work tomorrow, because whatever you’re whacked out on isn’t going to wear off by then

He did before, and it worked out. Should give him confidence to do it again.

It takes about a 3,000 calorie surplus per pound of additional body weight (depending on muscle or fat, it can be more or less).

So he’s had 14 weeks to have a cumulative 60K calorie surplus. That’s 4,200 calories per week or 600 per day. Thats easily achievable. Literally just eat 1 extra meal per day.

I was eating 4k calories a day doing p90x and dropped 30 pounds
