  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

I don't see Rodgers as a lock at all. He's a camp body until proven otherwise. They gave him next to no salary and he hasn't played in over a year. Even when he was playing he was never a full time player, he rotated in and out. I don't think changes anything with the draft strategy as they need to replace two starting CB's beyond 2024.

Yup.  I have no idea how he got this aura around him that he's the answer to anything.  I guess its just a sign of how far we've fallen in terms of CB talent on this roster.  Then again we get people who get all excited over Ricks and Jobe too.

Good enough for me.

Of course... because of the move to add James Hardin.  There is knowing what's about to happen.  And then there's getting to experience the reality of it all.   It's kind of like knowing that you need a root canal... and then there's the actual procedure.  The procedure hurts, no matter how 'prepared' you are for it.

I’m not really hurt by this year nor this series where it is. Maybe I’m numb to it based off the past but my expectations have been this team in 2023-24 wasn’t winning anything. Don’t get me wrong i cheer and in the moment want to win like every fan. Will discuss things that were irritating and frustrating from the game. last year hurt and bothered me cause even up 3-2 it’s the sixers and they will rip your heart heart. This year facing a Knicks team that’s 22-3 with OG in the lineup and my expectations was this series was a toss up. Kind of played into how i thought which was it was always coming down to who finished games better cause they were equal.

It is really weird how he's now seen as some great player. I remember at the time of his suspension the media was hyping it up as major NFL names getting busted, he was the "biggest" but the majority of people were saying "who?". He somehow raised his stock by not doing anything.

If the Patriots are willing to trade down they must not love Maye. If they loved him and thought he was a can't miss QB prospect, they would not be trading the pick.

Don't think it has anything to do with Maye.  They could love him but want to see if someone else loves him more, enough to make a massive offer.  As good as Maye is they are a long ways away from competing against anyone.

That's gonna cost roughly 22, 50 and a late pick.  He better be that much ahead of the Wiggins/Arnold/McKinstry's of the draft.

So true.

I think hes slightly below 6' and 31'' arms isnt very good.

ras compare Arnold v Nolan Smith at CB

Just looking at ras,  and what I'm finding,  shockingly,  is that DL and OL have longer arms than CB.  CB arms are generally not very good.   I prefer Cooper DeJean,  and after him,  Wiggins.  I don't think Q Mitchell will be there and wouldn't want to give up a good pick to get him instead of DeJean.   But none of them have LT or RT arms.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Coaching and training is raising the floors of so many prospects the naturally gifted "can't miss, generational talent" is becoming non-existent. If everyone's becoming a better prospect, there's not going to be that one unicorn as often.

The unicorn is going to be more a product of physical talent rather than skills.

It doesn’t matter if everyone becomes more accurate and reads the game better, there will only ever be a small number of guys with 4.3 speed and a rocket launcher for an arm.

He's an NFL caliber talent, which with this group pretty much makes him a lock IMO. Agree we could still take someone in round 1 (and if not, then in round 2), but I don't see guys like Bradberry and Garner making the team over him. Slay, Ringo, draft pick and Rodgers will make the roster, IMO.

You mean to tell me that men who are 6 foot 7 have longer arms than men who are 5 foot 10?

I’m positively SHOCKED! How could this possibly be?!?!

Crap. I spent the last few days getting excited to see the Eagles draft Mims.

Per the draft trade chart:

12, and 207 = 1,208.6 pts

22, 50, and 161 = 1,207

Too rich for my blood

If Howie wanted him that badly, he'd find a way to get him. The Eagles have the ammo if they truly covet a player to move up and do it. We'll know how they feel about everyone based on what they do.

Could happen with a trade up.

I think Howie has found his sweet spot of small moves to secure the players he really wants. So if Mims makes it to 17, I could see it happening.

He was. I just think you need to see what he looks like after a year long layoff. That's a long time to go without the support of an NFL training staff. If he looks like garbage during TC I think he can easily be beaten out of a job.

That Quinyon Mitchell tweet feels more like a Broncos leak to drum up interest more than anything. They barely have draft picks and are probably desperate to trade back.

Yea, that's a really hefty cost for a player who is lumped together with at least 3 others at the same position and none of them truly stand out. That's not saying he isn't good, just don't think he's that much better than the others that you trade that far up for him when you could sit at 22 and get a player that isn't too far off from a talent standpoint.

An unproven rookie is not worth a 1st and a 2nd+.
