This is very misleading. Mailata isn't being paid an average of $22 million per year right now, he's being paid $16 million a year. His $22 million a year extension begins in 2026.

In a CB draft with top end talent, Mitchell is the kind of guy who should just be sneaking his way in to round 1 as a small school guy with little ball production in college (4 ints came in game this year), who had a big time showing at the senior bowl to boost his stock.

He played almost 0 man coverage at all, when the guy on the other side of the field played almost all man coverage. So why didnt they let him do that? Questions should exist about his odd usage.

I like the player. I like the athleticism. I think hes a flashy, confident guy with the star charisma of a CB. I just hate the value of trading up so high for a guy who probably doesnt belong there in many other draft classes.

That's all that needs to be said.

Feels like he's bound to end up in a Reddick situation

I don't think AJ will be unreasonable.  He wasn't unreasonable with the Titans.  The Titans did not understand the market.  I think he will probably not be looking to re-set the market.

AJ Brown is a top 4 wr he should get paid the market

Allbright is VERY plugged into the Broncos. I believe this.

Mitchell, even if it costs 50 overall, solves a so many short-term and long-term problems for us at CB. He's big. He's fast. He's physical. Highly competitive. Clean injury history. Great prospect.

This would be the third person reporting about Mitchell. Pauline had it and he's been on the money with Eagles draft guys in the past.

Bo and Zach today stayed true that if the Eagles will trade up it'll be for OT. I actually agree with the logic 100% and think it makes the most logical sense. But I do think it could be for CB because once Howie signed Barkley that broke the mold a little bit of their tendencies and I wonder if they might have shifted very slightly philosophically to try to win now, while not abandoning their true principles.

If they draft an OT, he must have OG versatility. I don’t see Lane retiring for at least the next 2 years.

Bo & Zach aren't reporters anymore. They're just guessing.

I think a lot depends on what they think of Steen. If they feel Steen is ready to start at guard, then trading up seems to be a waste of resources. If he isn't, then trading up for a future right tackle with the ability to play guard day one makes sense.

Sewell and St. Brown for a combined $232 million or Smith and Mailata for a combined $165 million. Get him away from the draft and just let Howie do contracts.

We don't know all the details but I don't think it's fair to say Reddick was being unreasonable either. He wanted a pay bump but from all the reports he was looking to be somewhere in the back half of the top 10.

We'll see what happens with Brown. He might not be looking to re-set the market but after Jefferson/Chase and others sign, $30M APY could be outside of the top 5. I just think it might end up where he will want some more/new money but Howie may be reluctant to give it to him when he's 28/29.

You forgot about Agholor and Dillard. All PAC 12, all soft when they hit the pros. You can still miss me with non-Polynesian PAC 12 players.

Berman just reported Hennessey signing before even the national guys a month ago.

All he's doing is just getting the contracts done before the market explodes for that that particular position

Yea, and he gets credit for that. He's almost always ahead of the game.

Really wish Berman would disconnect from Wolf.  I like his perspective.  Just can't endure Wolf's routine in order to hear it.

Lurie also doesn't get enough credit for getting these deals done. If Howie was on the Bengals or Raiders, he wouldn't be nearly as good with these contracts.

Is it me, or does he constantly take little veiled shots at him too?

That's fair, Bo Wulf certainly isn't for everyone. I think Berman is a little too straight man and needs a partner to play off of in this new journalism/podcast world. The non Bo pods with Zach leading are a little boring. He'd be good paired with someone like Kempksi or just Kapadia.

I think one of these 4 will be an Eagle tomorrow:

Mims, Fautanu, Mitchell, Arnold. The order of satisfaction I'd rank each

1) Mims 2) Arnold 3) Mitchell          4) Fautanu. Don't want a 24 year old lineman, sorry. Would prefer him over Fuaga though.

The Eagles have one of the largest beats, yet routinely don't break stories. It's the national guys who get the Eagles scoops. The big exception is Tim McManus.

Isn't Brown under contract still? I think he's just out of guaranteed money now right?
