That's fair, Bo Wulf certainly isn't for everyone. I think Berman is a little too straight man and needs a partner to play off of in this new journalism/podcast world. The non Bo pods with Zach leading are a little boring. He'd be good paired with someone like Kempksi or just Kapadia.

Bo needs to cut out 20-30 percent of his jokes/bits. The "is it Cooper DeJean or DeJean Cooper” type jokes do nothing but interrupt Berman. Maybe the worst part is interrupting him with dad jokes that aren’t funny, but laughing at his own joke while not even playing along when Berman does likewise. It wouldn’t be that bad if it didn’t happen five times per show.

The chemistry is bad.

Why do you think that is?

Really wish Berman would disconnect from Wolf.  I like his perspective.  Just can't endure Wolf's routine in order to hear it.

Yeah I can't stand Bo.  He can't take present hi.swpf seriously.  It's what ultimately had me canceling on The Athletic and why I have no interest in their new site.

Will it have 40 picks?

There are will be many more than 40 names. Ranked by round so you can all laugh at me when my projections are off.

There are probably about 0 people in here who are actually interested in this and at least 1 who will probably save this just to mock it later down the line.

Lions making Howie look so smart.  But we now know where any AJ Brown renegotiation begins.

AJ has said it was his intention to sign a team friendly deal after this one and be a WR2 in his 30’s.

Whether or not he goes through with it when the money is on the table is another discussion

Sewell and St. Brown for a combined $232 million or Smith and Mailata for a combined $165 million. Get him away from the draft and just let Howie do contracts.

This is the biggest reason I'm excited about Fangio. Howie has been trash at drafting non DL-defensive players.  Fangio is the type of coach who (should) have some serious say in the type of players he wants drafted as opposed to the young up and coming or retread coaches we've had at DC recently.

Granted that same logic should have applied to someone like Schwartz too so maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part.

Bot glitch?

McLane gets a lot of hate in here, but he breaks the most news. He and Gunn have the best sources.

Isn't Brown under contract still? I think he's just out of guaranteed money now right?

Yeah, his salaries for next year and the year after basically mean he has to be restructured.

The St Brown contract is a shocker, like I said the other day the guy has 400 yards and 2 TD's on Smith despite being unquestioned WR1.  I think Smith has taken a cheaper deal than he could, but Detroit have over paid, there'll be a few angry GM's around the league.

ESP is my go to insider.

Why do you think that is?

2 main reasons

1) There is no king beat writer that the Eagles have to play nice with. In some other markets, there are 1-2 guys who are THE voices that they have to placate. The Philly media is so large and fragmented, that no individual beat writer matters.

2) Lack of actual journalism chops. Ex: Reuben Frank has been around for years, but he's known for random stats not reporting. You can say the same thing about a lot of guys. They can do the humanitarian stories (ex: Fletcher Cox and his hometown), comp picks (Kempski), but rarely news.

I will shoutout Derrick Gunn as well. He gets all his scoops from the players, because they actually trust him and you can tell.

Doing the shows daily also just highlights and accentuates the problem entirely. Bo's shtick is definitely less is more.

I think the Reagor/JJ fiasco (which was really the end of a string of largely bad drafts) had a pretty big impact on our strategy. Our drafting has been far, far better since then.

Eagles free agent targets leaked this year.

So draft rumors are believable.

I still think if they trade up far enough its for an OL rather than a CB.

However,  after one recent report alerted us that Brian Thomas Jr could go much higher than projected,  you really can't ignore the one Eagles trading up for WR rumor out there.

So much smoke about CB or OL trade ups, they could be the smoke screen for that tiny little WR tidbit that managed to slip out.

Eagles acquisitions that have leaked in the past 2 years

- Eagles trading up for Jalen Carter
- Eagles loving Nolan Smith
- Eagles wanting Cam Jurgens in RD2
- Eagles interest in Saquon
- Eagles aggressively targeting Bryce Huff

The Barkley one was so much that it seemed false

CJGJ round 2 and I think signing Reddick as well nvm you said 2 years

Word about the Eagles gets out because Howie is aggressive and makes a lot of calls. The more people you talk to, the higher chances of loose lips.

If they draft an OT, he must have OG versatility. I don’t see Lane retiring for at least the next 2 years.

The wild card would be a major injury. Otherwise isn't that what Lane said? 2 more years? Something like that.

Is it though? If you draft a good player and don't retain them past their rookie contract that ultimately wasn't a great pick for the organization in terms of service. Similarly if you draft a good player and he gets hurt towards the end of their rookie contract and isn't retained that's a miss too. Or what if the rookie is some what of a late bloomer or was playing behind an entrenched starter but you don't retain them after the rookie contract and they go on to be a star. If you only get 3-4 years out of a 1st round pick that sounds like a miss to me. Could be a fun 3-4 years but now you're 1st rounder is no more and your return on investment is minimum.

If there was more order in the data - e.g. change of scheme, change of HC, pick range, etc, you'd get a better understanding of the why.  Some 1st rounders flame out like Terrell Edmunds, but he was pick 28.  The raw data is useful, but there is more info/analysis needed to strengthen what you are seeing initially.

Goff was a limited QB, Wentz dumped his University sweetheart, Lance was overdrafted, McCorkle went to a team with a HC raging against the dying of the light.etc

The problem with this list is while it’s not incorrect, it’s missing the context of the dozens of other moves that we were linked to during that time as well.

We have been linked to pretty much every first round OT, OG, WR, TE, DE prospect. So unless we end up with Byron Murphy or Malik Nabers, someone can post here on Friday "They leaked we were gonna take xxxx! How did they know?!”

It achieves 2 things. You get good intel on others and will know some GMs will leak titbits to the media about what you want to do.

Mitchell visited the Eagles.
