Love to see Johnson for 2 more seasons.  But he has missed games in recent seasons.  It is likely trending to the worse, as he ages.  Having a back-up ready to step up is rather pressing, next season if not sooner.

Tyler Steen was starting Left Tackle for the Crimson Tide, and presumably they drafted him because Stout liked the look of him. You don't trade up in the first for a swing tackle, you just don't.

Speaking of Eagles PODS, anyone else notice that Jody Mac has left Birds 365?

Which player has more value? The 25th best G in the NFL who can only play G, or the 40th best guard who's also the 40th best T?

It's not like they couldn't draft an OT next year.

Next year, or the year after, or 2027.

Or draft a more raw player this year, lower in the draft.   Or, more raw, next year.

The Eagles need to fill 2 spots in the OL room,  but those aren't starter spots.

Wrong. It’s because the Eagles are overly sensitive and want to control narratives so they they feed scoops to the access national journalists who happily accept whatever they get in order to keep their access.

It's not wrong. No company/organization wants a bad narrative. It's up to journalists to find the information regardless. They do a poor job (again with exceptions).

McLane finds the information and you guys hate him. He doesn’t have the benefit of being a national reporter to get spoon fed every breaking story. It’s like that with just about every franchise.

I actually believe if zinter is there at 50 or 53 they’d take him.

Zinter is a name I have for the Eagles but later than 2nd round.   One of the good things about Zinter is that he played Right Guard, and was a All American.  And Mock Draft Database has him going later than 53.

Christian Haynes was also a Right Guard,  also a All American,  and Mock Draft Database has him going before Zinter.

Haynes - 3rd 66
Zinter - 4th 122

This got me thinking about whom I would list. Having lived a bit longer, my list begins with Jim Brown and Roger Staubach.

He finds information, but often times treats it irresponsibly. His sensationalism is my main problem with him.

I didn't think QM had a visit

She's been plugged in recently. Lots of smoke about trading up for CB.

Even when Bengals stumble into  being a good team they manage to ruin it every time

Ok.  Let the Bengals know that we can take Hendrickson and Higgins off their hands...   they can have the trade package we got for Reddick.

Burrow still has Chase but losing a stud WR is going to hurt. Wonder how much Higgins is asking for

Counterpoint, Fletcher Cox left the building last month and nobody thinks we have a hole at DT, even though he took the majority of the snaps last year and the rest of the DT's were already here? We are literally a starting DT down and Carter and Davis offered ample evidence last year that there is no way on this Earth that they pick up all Cox's snaps, but the bigger need is grooming the replacement of a guy who says he wants to play 2 more years?

I think we have a hole at DT.  I don't think the Eagles need to fill that hole with an expensive draft pick.  I have T'V Sweat,  366 pounds,  Outland winner, as Eagles 2nd round.  That seems like a good, fun, pick to me,  the Eagles would be able to dial up a very big D Line if they do that.   It's not like there are always a lot of 366 pound Outland winners every year.

I'm more in agreement with you than with the people who want to draft a huge RT and have him play RG for 3 years until 2027,  when they're supposed to replace Lane.

Right Guard (or backup Right Guard) is a need.  Steen is starting RG.   If Lane was hurt,  Steen would presumably go to RT.   If Steen goes to RT,  Hennessy would go to RG.  If Hennessy was needed at LG or C,  that's where the need for RG comes in.

Haynes and Zinter were both AA Right Guards,  so I don't think learning how to play Right Guard would be as difficult for Right Guards than it would be for a RT or a LG.    And day 3,  and/or udfa, that's where you get a high ras project for the future for Stoutland to work on.  I like Tylan Grable for that.
