Looking at the mocks,  re the Eagles,  it seems that the Eagles will be able to get a CB at 22.  They don't need to trade up to 17 or whatever.   It seems like the Eagles trade up to get a CB,  and nobody else takes a CB before 22.

The mocksters have the Eagles trade up for a CB I don't want more than others,  and the others,  the ones I like more,  are available at 22.

Within the context of their mock,  they seem to want to prove that the Eagles are unnecessarily trading up.    I would think that if the Eagles were trading up,  it would be because they're worried all the CBs would be gone.   If CBs start going in the top 10,  top 15,  that might start to cause a worry and cause a trade up,  but if all the CBs stay available, I don't see the reason for the Eagles to trade up.

If the trade-up scenario has the Eagles selecting an OLmen, I get it.  Otherwise, not really.

incorrect.

Ive had him as #1 for us based on his playmaking and versatility. as well as factoring in who would realistically be available at 22.

I thought long ago that Wiggins would be gone well before our pick. Hes been my CB1 in the class. It was quite a while ago but Im sure I posted about what a great fit I thought he was here due to his ability in both zone and man, and loved that he played physically on top of it all.

If the Eagles are that desperate to trade up, I'm starting to doubt it's Mims. I don't think they'd have to move up that far for him. It's probably Fautanu. Or maybe Dallas Turner if he falls. I can see them moving up for a CB but not all the way to 12 far. That would be so unlike Howie.

I'm not sure a huge trade up is worth it. I don't want them trading away one of those 2nd round picks. I'd rather they stay put or trade up just a couple spots for a guy they want, and use those two 2nd rounders to add more talent.

Ultimately, if the guy becomes a stud player that's great, go for it. But the defense has so many needs.

Alt or Latham would be the only online I would have traded up for. Latham over the past few days jumped up huge on the shows so now both may not be feasible

If they're trying to move up high it's certainly a DE/OT. Doubt it's a CB unless its only moving up 3-5 spots.

So what the hell are the Vikings doing? They are the only team to do a pre-draft trade and then.... just nothing.

Turns out that when teams know you're going to try and trade up for a QB that the price increases substantially.

Just saw this

However, there’s a late flag regarding Fautanu’s health. According to Albert Breer at Sports Illustrated, Fautanu has a knee issue that could affect his longevity in the NFL:

"Washington OT Troy Fautanu’s knee was flagged. That one was described to me as the sort of issue that shouldn’t be a problem in the short term, but could wind up impacting his longevity in the pros…”

This is pretty far from ideal, especially considering that Seattle’s starting right tackle Abe Lucas has a long-term knee problem of his own that kept him on the sidelines for 11 games last season.

I'm fine with whatever. Our CB room is pretty sparse past this season so just having a bunch of guys shouldn't forbid us from drafting a (hopefully #1) CB of the future that should also see playing time this season. DE has been a need for a while but we seem to just keep kicking that can down the road because Graham keeps coming back. We should finally spend a more premium pick to replace him. He'll be better this year if we have someone soak up more of his snaps anyway.

I would have said that Graham,  last year 1) didn't have many snaps at all, around 30% and 2) was good last year,  with a high pff around 80.   I would think that if the Eagles got a future Graham replace,  Sweat's snaps would drop from 60-70 to maybe 50 or so.

What people might be forgetting is that Barnett started the year with the Eagles and did get some snaps,  and then he left.  So,  if we're talking about replacing someone,  it would be Barnett. (And Graham,  but in the future).

Right now Howie is on the phone trying to figure out which players had their teammates attend their birthday party.

I just hope Lane doesn't fall off the way Peters did. That was just a train wreck to watch

Lane is in top physical condition, whereas JP seemed to get less and less in shape the older he got. He still had his athletic gifts and raw power, but you could tell he was constantly winded and just not the same player. He genuinely looked fat and out of shape. Lane Johnson looks like he's carrying 8%-10% body fat and takes enormous pride in taking care of his body.

Imagine letting Josh Jobe and Eli Ricks prevent you from drafting Terrion Arnold or Quinyon Mitchell.

I'm in no way saying there are better players. What I am saying is that they fit the profile of what the Eagles like to invest in CB. They LOVE trying to find a gem whether it's a late rounder, UDFA or trading for a young veteran. I think the Eagles look at players like Jobe and Ricks and think the value is higher with them based on investment.

It's amazing how all these medical red flags have come out a day or two before the draft.

Last week Belichick said all of the accurate leaks come out about 12 hrs before the draft for whatever reason

LMAO Mosher said twice that Quinyon Mitchell didn't visit the Eagles. The second time he said he was really surprised they didn't have Mitchell in for a visit. I guess he needs to double check that "intel." Imagine paying for patreon for those two frauds.

It was a fluid situation and things change!

Lane is still playing at a high level. Even though the 49ers dominated them, in the individual battle Lane owned Bosa.

The problem with Lane is their losing record when he is injured. They just need a reliable backup to start if he misses a couple games. It might be too soon to draft his eventual replacement, but if there is a potential stud OT there you take him. It's too important of a position. At least have an upgrade at backup because if Lane does show decline this year you have a stop gap and then get a replacement next year.

"He didn't give the ball to some girl. It's his sister. She died a few months later."

No one knew that all along, this draft day reveal changes everything!

Have all these guys submitted the list of their birthday party attendees?

Looking like Latham will be gone before their trade up window (12-19) so adding two plus two and trying to get four the most likely trade up candidates would be Fuaga, Fautanu, MItchell, and Arnold.

I think they are going OL. They A. have an immediate need at RG that is bigger than CB, B. will probably need to replace Lane in 2-3 years, C. Value that position much higher than corner, and D. the corners likely to be available at 50/53 are higher level prospects than the OL likely there in that range.
