Fuaga is athletic. Just not the raw physical athlete and specimen Mims and Fautanu are IMO.

Both solid but Fuaga is about a year and a half younger I believe.

Titans or Jets maybe

Titans wouldn't give up a shot at Joe Alt when they've got Ridley and Hopkins.  Jets have Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams and most likely Brock Bowers falling to them.

Chargers need to get plans in place behind Mack and Bosa.  They could stand to upgrade on Kristian Fulton.  Four picks in the top 63 and a veteran playmaker isn't a bad deal.

I said it earlier I definitely agree with this assessment.

I would trade back somewhere in the late 20s if you have a buyer and draft a WR, DT, CB, or Edge in the late first round which there will be players that can make an impact even year one in those positions. If all these offensive lineman are moving up the boards it's pushing other positions back

I would definitely want to keep the two second round picks and maybe add an additional day two pick. I'd love to see them get Cooper Beebee oline and Edgerrin Cooper at linebacker in day 2.

Yes indeed. A day or two ago I cited an article in The Athletic that made the argument that you should trade back, never up, with examples. Especially when there is little consensus, that’s the time to trade back and get more bites at the apple.

If anything I was arguing that he plays physical despite his size.  I've repeatedly said he's not a guy who still dive out of the play like Asante did.  He's going to stick his nose in there.

Yeah,  but,  your position has shifted.   You might be saying something precise now,  different from what you were saying a week ago ("plays physical") which would be different than a month ago "too small".

Doesn't really matter all that much.  I like DeJean and Wiggins the most.  One is the fastest and is said to be best at coverage (Wiggins).  The other is the most versatile,  both in being able to play more positions and do all the things well at those positions (DeJean).   I think good arguments can be made for both.

The Eagles have 2 Alabama CBs already.  And they both were bad last year.  I'm not loving the idea of more Alabama CBs.   "Oh,  keep Ricks and Jobe, despite the PFF in the 40s - they're buddies of expensive new Alabama CB".  I do think that the other 3 of the Big 5 would all improve the secondary in some way,  instead of all the PFF 40-60s the Eagles currently have.

But, tldr,  I agree with you on DeJean/Wiggins,  Wiggins/DeJean.

I've noticed that Eagles fans often like to pretend that they had the answer all along,  when actually that's just all made up, and it came as a big surprise.

This year,  there is no consensus here for anything.  Last year,  there was much more consensus for Nolan Smith.   The closest thing to a consensus is that there are a large number of people who think that a good CB will be available at 22, probably.  But there are others who would like to spend as much as possible on a OT who won't be playing for at least 2 or 3 years.  The CB people outnumber the OT people,  but not by so much that it could be seen as a consensus.

I've noticed that non-Eagles fans named Random Reglar like to pretend that they know football.

Fuaga is flat out the best mover of people in this draft. His pass pro needs improvement on wide angles, but that would be a non-issue at RG.

Definitely a few here I'm suspecting of it.  Will be reaching out to authorities to let them know.

Line starts behind you

Well, I'm out until tomorrow. Don't have too many posts, I've got to read them all while "working".

We all know it's not you, so you're safe.  A born and raised Cowboys fan down in Texas who made the switch to the more successful division rival team.

You'd like to get someone in the 1st that can make an immediate impact.  Seems like Carter was the first one in many years.

But I kinda agree with you.  If they draft a Tackle in round 1 to replace Lane, he might be sitting for 2 years.  Then what if Lane decides he wants to keep playing longer than a couple more years.

Lane Johnson has $16 Million a year (18?) coming for the next 3 years.  I would expect he would want to play for at least 3 more years.

Probably just trying to get their RAS numbers.

Rams really going to trade next years 1st to move up.  Rams fans better really try to enjoy this one.

Someone look it up for me.  This will be Lane’s age 34 season.

How many OTs have played at a very high level at age 35 and 36?

Granted, Lane is better and more talented than 99% of NFL OTs.  But there are plenty of other perennial all pro guys over the last 20 years.

What’s the list of best age 35 and age 36 seasons from OTs over the last 20 years???  If it’s a good list, don’t rush it with drafting Lane’s replacement.  If it’s not…well…do the math.

Peters is on there.  Peters had a 77.5 PFF at age 39 after leaving the Eagles.

CB is to risky IMO in round 1 .  I think Christian Gonzalez is better than anyone in this years crop.  Deonte Banks and Emmanuel Forbes went in round 1 last year.  Too many busts at CB in round 1.  Play the odds and get your OT/OG

So,  everyone below average at CB is the intentional plan?

It seems like you have me confused with someone else. Everyone always told me he is too small when Ive talked him up. Unless youre talking about the one post where TEW was talking about DeJean falling and I pointed out the common knocks that were said about all of the other CBs. In which case, you are still mistaking my opinion with that of others.

It's been awhile since Jones but I doubt he goes for anyone with an injury history in the first 2

We will find out just how much the Eagles changed philosophically this off-season. They signed Barkley which is uncharacteristic of them. If they trade up for a CB, that would be a sign they made skme philosophical shifts after the season.

Also, as an aside. A guy I’d love them to get on day 2 or 3: Zinter. Think he’d be a Dickerson like pick. A guy who’d go much higher if not for the injury. He’s a stud. That is, if they don’t draft a guy who will be a guard in round 1.

Zak Zinter.

All American at Right Guard.

Right Guard is the only starting position the Eagles aren't completely solid at.

Zak Zinter.   Christian Haynes.   Both Right Guards.

If a RT is drafted,  Eagles fans will be screaming to get rid of Lane, no matter how well he does.  I don't want that outcome at all.

If Zinter or Haynes were drafted rounds 2,3,4,  they would be either starters or backups at RG.  They're RG.  They were given awards for their ability to play RG.   And they're not first round picks,  which is a great attribute.
