Dude.  Take the L.

Oh,  I'm right.   There was approx 500% more talk about Nolan Smith than Jalen Carter last year.

But there doesn't really need to be 100 back and forth posts about it.

Wait, people were talking about the Eagles drafting Jalen Carter leading up to last year's draft? No way.

In other news, I heard we landed on the moon.

That would be fake new... fake news. Never happened. I know moons better than anyone and they are also flat.

Washington needs a left tackle as well and has a ton of draft picks. I could see them moving up, at least to get ahead of Dallas, Green Bay and possibly us.

College OTs move to OG in the NFL all the time.  It's nothing new.

That is true.

However,  website makers aren't the ones who actually move players around,  and they act like they're the ones in charge.

Why are you even here? You're not even a true Eagles fan

running QBs are best

I will say that I overstated,  with all and none,  when it was just more and less.  shouldn't have said "no discussion".   There was definitely more Nolan Smith consensus last year than there is this year for anybody.

It seems like you have me confused with someone else. Everyone always told me he is too small when Ive talked him up. Unless youre talking about the one post where TEW was talking about DeJean falling and I pointed out the common knocks that were said about all of the other CBs. In which case, you are still mistaking my opinion with that of others.

ok, maybe.  don't think so, but maybe.   core point is that we're in agreement at this point about who the top 2 are.

The big question is: If we don’t draft Kool-Aid tonight, does it go back to being censored?

We've noticed you're not an Eagles fan.

And as usual you don't know what you're talking about. Carter himself in an interview said he believed the Eagles would take him. It was very well known they were interested in him, and people speculated how much they might need to trade up to get him.

hey,  I am an Eagles fan.   I wasn't.  I will move around,  or drop out of active NFL fandom,  but I am a current Eagles fan.   I was here on this board a year ago,  and almost all the talk was banging the table for Nolan Smith.   I will say that I used all and none wrongly.   Without going back to the vibe of December and January too much,  I am definitely different that the true blue Eagles fan,  who want nothing more than to see the Eagles fail and lose, and would just as soon talk about the Sixers, Flyers and Phillies.    Running QBs are best and I pay attention to those teams,  I stick around after the running QB leaves,  and eventually I leave, when some other team captures my attention, because running QB.  I'm not going to lie,  I have no more team loyalty than a player.  I don't live in Philadelphia,  and most here clearly do.

Well they had 2 firsts. So yes people wanted Nolan, and I think with Carter’s off-field issue there was a lot of buzz around him falling from being the best player in the draft, to falling close enough to the Eagles. I think draft day most people knew he was going to fall, and if he did they Eagles would target him.

Now when he was considered a no brainer top 3 pick, sure, no one expected him to be an Eagle.

Nobody is pretending when they say that there was tons of talk about the Eagles taking Jalen Carter if he slipped or just trading up a few spots to get him. I don't know if you are trolling, have a horrendous memory, or smoke a ton of weed but you are objectively wrong on this one homie.

hey, how about this,  we go back and forth for the next 5 hours on how much talk there was about Carter than Nolan Smith.

I did retract the whole "no Carter talk,  all Smith talk" statement.    There was a lot more talk about Nolan Smith than Jalen Carter,  and the general feeling that night was surprise about Carter.  People were generally happy,  and looking up exactly what it was that Carter did or didn't do having something to do with a car.

I'm not saying there was no discussion of Carter before the draft though.  Just saying more discussion of Nolan Smith.

No,  I simply said that we were talking most about Nolan Smith.

And guess what?

There was a mock draft database last year.

And guess what?

The consensus pick for the Eagles at 10 was Nolan Smith.

Anyone doing anything cool for the draft?
