No,  I simply said that we were talking most about Nolan Smith.

And guess what?

There was a mock draft database last year.

And guess what?

The consensus pick for the Eagles at 10 was Nolan Smith.

So you moved goal posts.

Also I’ll give you a hint why Nolan Smith was talked about

Spoiler

Because some people thought a certain prospect would be off their board because of a certain racing incident

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

hey,  I am an Eagles fan.

You are not.  You are a self-proclaimed Ravens & Browns fan, and you take every opportunity you can to distance yourself from Eagles fans.  So... no, you are NOT an Eagles fan.  True Eagles fans don't have a 'second' team, let alone a third... and certainly not be a fan of two franchises that hate each other.

Well they had 2 firsts. So yes people wanted Nolan, and I think with Carter’s off-field issue there was a lot of buzz around him falling from being the best player in the draft, to falling close enough to the Eagles. I think draft day most people knew he was going to fall, and if he did they Eagles would target him.

Now when he was considered a no brainer top 3 pick, sure, no one expected him to be an Eagle.

well, now we're looking at data, a lot of people are I guess.

Some people are finding evidence that some people were talking about Carter, and posted that.

And I found that Nolan Smith was the mock draft database consensus pick for the Eagles.

Jordan Davis was the consensus pick for the Eagles in 2022.

I definitely overstated the case with the use of "all" or "no".  I'm deeply deeply sorry I used those terms,  use of those terms are generally easy to whack down,  and, yes,  I was whacked down.

However,  I was still right that Nolan Smith was the consensus pick for the Eagles in 2023.

There isn't as much consensus around any player this year.

But,  Mock Draft Database has Cooper DeJean as the consensus pick for the Eagles at 22.

Hey... there's a Sixers game tonight...   Who knew?

Didn't have time for another mock draft, just for the record though I think Latham would be the most Eagles pick here. 6'6, 346 super strong. Bama player that just turned 21. Could be a force at RG but can play all positions... I would be happy.

Consolidation price pick: Jared Verse.

I was actually about to post, "action packed night for us to tonight, draft + Sixers game 3”.

If they end up giving the 3rd overall for Ayuk and the 49ers 1st round pick and some late round scraps then I'll be pissed.

We’re extending Reddick.

I usually prefer NFLN to ESPN, but will flip around this year.

Please someone take DeJean in the top 15.

Latham is the s only guy I would trade up to get, and I agree that the eagles probably love him.

Unfortunately, I don’t think he lasts long enough for us to even get a sniff at him.

Someone please explain why the draft starts so late?   Round 1 will likely end after midnight on the east coast.  Nuts.

Yeah, please go earlier... it starts at 2 over here. 😁

I'm still pissed that they moved it Saturday and Sundays.

Well possible. But he feels like such an Eagles pick.. All boxes crossed.

I don’t know about that extension…

Nolan Smith WAS the consensus

Yes.  I moved the goal posts.  Actually,  what I did was admit I was wrong.  I mean,  yes I WAS RIGHT.  But I overstated exactly how right I was.   Nolan Smith,  Mock Draft Database consensus pick for the Eagles at 10.  When I said that most talk was about Nolan Smith,  I was right.   When I said there was NO talk about Carter,  I was wrong.

In 2022 - the mock draft database consensus pick for the Eagles was Jordan Davis.
In 2023 - the mock draft database consensus pick for the Eagles was Nolan Smith.
In 2024 - the mock draft database consensus pick for the Eagles is Cooper DeJean.

Don't like this, but I get it.

Guess who leaked this information?   🤔

Meanwhile, this should put to bed the idea of drafting a WR in Round 1 now.

Love it.
