  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

Note that this is a 3 year extension. Pre-extension, AJ had 2 years left on his deal. So now he has 5 years left on his deal, so this guarantees 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Yesssir! Thank you Howie!

I wonder if we can trade AJ Brown for more picks

He's 21 years old. He will add weight without it diminishing his speed.  Forbes is a much softer player than Wiggins.  Wiggins size will be an issue at times but he won't get bullied like Forbes did.

They have a similar build though. I’m not confident that Wiggins can play at 15 pounds heavier than he was at the combine. 15 pounds is a LOT of lean mass and a ton of weight if you expect him to keep that crazy speed.

Guess who leaked this information?   🤔

Meanwhile, this should put to bed the idea of drafting a WR in Round 1 now.

Only if it's Odunze.. but nah, we do have other needs.

AJ was never going anywhere. Gonna need to go cheap somewhere to afford two massive WR contracts. Cheap CBs starting next year?

So much for him being traded next year lol.

Seems like the drop in talent is big if so many teams are trying to trade up

So for the next 5 years, AJ's AAV will be $29m?

If true, that's a steal.

Yeah, before anyone goes crazy about the numbers: These 32 Million average is in 2027, 2028, 2029. Guess what: By then this will be considered cheap.

And this is the annual average.. so the cap hits probably are way less anyways.

I wasn't expecting that high of a number but I'm thrilled we extended him

Until that giant number at the very end.   Then he will be super expensive.

Howie getting in this extension before all the other wide receivers to save money in the long term.

Cowboys are so screwed right now

Seems huge for a sign and trade, but hey, whatever.

You are not.  You are a self-proclaimed Ravens & Browns fan, and you take every opportunity you can to distance yourself from Eagles fans.  So... no, you are NOT an Eagles fan.  True Eagles fans don't have a 'second' team, let alone a third... and certainly not be a fan of two franchises that hate each other.

No,  I'm currently a Ravens and Eagles fan.  I was a Browns fan,  but I lost interest.  I do distance myself from Eagles fans.  But not from the Eagles team.   I'm no more attached to any particular team than a football player or a coach or a front office person is attached to the team they're currently working for.  This is as much a philly sports board as a pro Eagles board.  This particular fanbase seems to be more interested in, and rooting for,  other Eagles fans,  and not the Eagles team, necessarily.

You realize that Sashi Brown used to have Howie's job with the Browns about 5-10 years ago,  when I was a Browns fan?

Howie signed AJ Brown before the Cowboys signed CeeDee Lamb.AJ Brown was already under contract through 2026.

Or start drafting CBs to have on rookie deals

Yeah we got both contracts done before the price tag exploded.

But hey, that's a Roseman special.

I wonder if this irritates DeVonta at all? AJ making $8M per year more.

Especially considering what others are about to get. One thing Howie has always been good at is getting guys locked up early before the others at the same position gets there's.

Unlike you, we are Eagles fans. That popped up on all our phones 5 minutes ago. Is your WiFi not that good under your bridge?
