Money…it gets super high ratings.  Love or hate the NFL marketing powers, they have known what they are doing for a long while.

Well, I am not tuning in... because of that.  I'm watching the Sixers... and have the draft tracker on the laptop.

Lots and lots and lots of advertising

Dropping major extension news RIGHT before the draft starts is done real big D energy from the lil fella Roseman.

Also, the earlier comments from Brown about this "being a business” when asked if he was going to/want to be traded make a little more sense. I’m guessing he/his agent approached the Eagles about an extension.

Dude. Tipping picks? I’d expect this from @HazletonEagle but not from you.

Turn it in Chicago, we already know who it's going to be

I didn't realize he wasn't even 6'2".   He's very lean.

I swear they told teams to wait until a certain time so they can drag it out

They are told to do that, yes.

They didn't open the draft up officially until 11 minutes after 8.  The NFL is in no rush.

Yup. AJ took the guaranteed money over upside. This is where having his best friend at QB helps.

So much for him being traded next year lol.

Yeah basically.  And throw out all the thinking about WR, or most of it.   Like,  much less likely they get Legette in the 2nd.  Possibly slightly more likely a "Smith like" backup with quickness, agility,  ability to run routes.  Perhaps not.  But dial away from "Brown like" WRs.  Still think the Eagles should have more, better wrs,  and still don't like spending $60 Million a year on WRs,  and don't like when the WRs never leave the field,  inevitably get injured/fatigued after never leaving the field, and the Eagles are weakened/depleted at playoff time.   But Smith and Brown are good players and it's hard to argue against good players, and I'm not.   So, I like Luke McCaffrey in the 4th.   Do brothers of huge stars in the NFL do well?  Kelse, Bosa, Watt, Manning.  Do those star brothers become stars?   A high percentage of the time?  How about the generic day 3 WR?  Does the average generic day 3 WR become a star?  Sometimes.  How about if you compare the probability of becoming a star?   Do star brothers or generic day 3 wrs have a better chance of becoming stars?  I don't have the numbers but I'd have to say that brothers of stars have a much better chance of becoming stars than generic day 3 WRs.  So,  with Luke McCaffrey predicted for day 3,  he's got a better chance of stardom than another WR available at the same time.  Very high ceiling,  based on the fact that star brothers do so well themselves.  Scratch Brian Thomas Jr.,    Role players,  perhaps without the 1st round Brown/Smith replace that Brian Thomas Jr. could have provided,  saving the Eagles $30+ Million a year.
