  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

I was right about the AJ extension and Mitchell pick. Suck it :smoke:

Who can we trade for a 3rd round pick? I hate seeing a whole round go buy with no picks.

And now, Opening day is in a foreign country.  OPENING DAY.  The first opportunity to see your team for the season won't be in EITHER team's home stadium.  Just a complete and total slap in the face of the ACTUAL fans, as they try to court the foreign fans.  I know why they are doing it... and I don't like it.

The fact they did that to two of the most passionate, loyal fanbases in Green Bay and Philadelphia is a slap in the face to their fans. Send teams with little to no fanfare like Jacksonville and Carolina over there.

Round 2 mock has Powers-Johnson and Polk for us today.

Im not high on Polk though. I would rather Franklin or Baker in this scenario who they have going at picks 61 and 62.

I can't see them going Powers-Johnson. He's a Center in the NFL. I don't see him moving to RG.

I think my realistic best case scenario today would be this fantastic trade with HOU…50 and 53 for 42, 86, and 127:

According to them, Kool-Aid is dropping to the 3rd?

The ABC coverage with Saban on was solid. First year ever I didnt watch on ESPN.

I watched the ABC coverage as well.  The only thing about it is it’s completely a college panel, so you get the pick announced and then a summation of what that pick brings until the next pick is announced.  No thoughts at all on what might come next, etc.

They had very little or no surprised reaction at all when the Falcons took Penix; simply discussed the type of player he was.  I thought that was the single worst draft pick I can ever remember a team taking.  Nothing against Penix — but they either wasted the #8 draft pick with every defensive player being available, or they wasted $100M in guaranteed money by signing Cousins.  Plus, losing a high future draft pick by tampering to get him.

Maybe we can swap our 4 with Pickett for a 3.

This may sound silly, but you you wonder if a guy like Ringo could be used to trade up. I think Ringo has worlds of potential and flashed last year. But if the Eagles think DeJean is a pure 1st round talent, that IMO makes Ringo expendable. They still have Ricks (who showed potential), McPhearson, Jobe etc. at CB3/4.

50 and Ringo for pick 33. The Bills lost Tre'Davious White and could use a young CB. Of course you could argue, why don't they just use their pick on a CB. Ringo hasn't proven a thing yet.

McPhearson, Ricks, and Jobe do not have close to the ceiling Ringo does in my opinion. I’m looking to a Mitchell, Ringo, Rodgers starting trio in 2025. It’s a damn speedy secondary.

Yeah, I caught that too. I think they forgot about him.

why do you think he needs to be a center? He has guard size.

that could be a bad oversight.

Or maybe teams are not liking how the Jones fracture is healing? I guess we will find out tonight. See if he continues to drop.

Can't say Howie didn't recognize he had a problem in the back seven:

LB: adds White, Burk. Dean, VanSumeran had their "redshirt" seasons.

CB: adds Mitchell and Rodgers. Ringo, Ricks and Jobe had their "redshirt" seasons, McPhearson off injury, Maddox back

S:  adds CBJ. McCollum, Garner "redshirts."

Could add a LB and S, but not urgent priorities anymore. More where you add someone you can project as a starter 2-3 years down the road.

TC battles will revolve around who makes the big jump after their redshirt season - a lot of players need a year or two to acclimate to the NFL, hit the weight room, etc.

Most of the jump for a team comes from these redshirt guys stepping into big roles (or not).

BUT... those teams don't have any gravitas... for the same reason that they don't have the passionate fan bases.   So, they screw the passionate fans, to try to bring in more casual fans.

I will not allow you to have Corley in round 2. Im not sure Ill even like it if we had a 3rd round pick. But certainly not round 2.

Doesn’t that emoji mean that you’re not really thrilled? Ha

Anyways, awesome pick. Can’t wait to see him play for the Eagles.
