And he’s actually fast. He’s not a slow slot

He’s not just a slot either. I think he can be Tyler Lockett.

A pro medical staff should help that too if it really is all about his blood sugar level.

I think that could be the concern teams have, are those red flags just a medical thing or are they a personality thing.

I think we're going to see LB tonight (not holding my breath, though).  They can't possibly have any faith in Nakobe Dean's health, and Devin White is a one-year signing.  Wouldn't be surprised with a TE2 upgrade, and would laugh out loud if they took RB Brooks right before the Turds called the pick in.

I am a massive seller on Williams. I think he is an epic bust.

Why? Because he wears nail polish and may or not have purses and dresses? :D

Yeah 24 is so old for a QB. You watch his last two seasons at Washington or nah?

Look man, if in 5 years you and Penix's mom turned out to be the only ones right about this pick, I'll be right here with a fork for the crow you serve. But for now, you're yelling into the abyss.

I'm excited to see if Caleb Williams can have some success in the NFL.  Forgot they picked up DeAndre Swift, they also have Kennan Allen and Rome Oduze up there.  They could be entertaining to watch.

I saw a bit on ESPN where they were asking about playoffs for the Bears, it's not such a crazy suggestion.  If they can gel, they might give the Packers a run for the NFC North.

Umm, the Lions might have something to say about that.

Just saw a day 2 mock where the Eagles get Tyler Nubin and Edggerin Cooper. Could you imagine the Eagles coming out of this draft with the best Corner, Safety, and Linebacker in the class?

I was ALL in on Nubin...until he tested worse than Kinchens. I want DeJean.

Tonight will be OL and DL is my guess

Tonight will be interesting. The team can make picks at 50 and 3, but I can't help but think Howie will be looking to do some trading with one of those.  Not having a 3rd rounder will something I can see the team wanting to resolve - going 70 or so picks without picking will hurt.

But equally, there will be some talent there that will warrant taking.  What to do?

You'd think a professional athlete would have that ish down by now.  He comes across as someone that needs to grow up rather than letting it get out of control

I thought diabetes was tough to manage for anyone. I would think it would be even more so difficult for athletes considering how much they put their bodies through.

QB and S were his positions in HS for what it’s worth, and he played some star at Iowa… so some experience outside of the boundary.

Geez, S was my position in Junior High and High School.  Not following how that matters at the NFL level.  Poor or even average angles are pretty common at the HS level.  BTW, in response to @austinfan query regarding Ringo at S.  Not sure I like his stiffness or that turn and step flip for S.  But as CB2 to Mitchell’s CB1, that is a real possibility to excel.

Good news is that there are some decent S prospects for the way Fangio uses them available in this draft.  Not convinced DeJean is the best S prospect in the draft.  Wouldn’t be surprised if the next DB picked is neither McKintry (talent is there but foot fractures (looking at Dean) scare me) or DeJean.

Think this is who is left for top 30 visits

Caelen Carson, CB, Wake Forest

Jarrian Jones, CB, Florida State

Andru Phillips, CB, Kentucky

Marshawn Kneeland, EDGE, Western Michigan

Trevin Wallace, LB, Kentucky

Ainias Smith, WR, Texas A&M

Travis Glover, OL, Georgia State

Brenden Rice, WR, USC

Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M

Zak Zinter, OL, Michigan

Cooper DeJean, DB, Iowa

Khristian Boyd, DL, Northern Iowa

Cooper Beebe, OL, Kansas State

Brandon Coleman, OL, TCU

Christian Mahogany, OL, Boston College

Roger Rosengarten, OL, Washington

Johnny Wilson, WR, Florida State

Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

Decamerion Richardson, CB, Mississippi State

Jalyx Hunt, EDGE, Houston Christian

MarShawn Lloyd, RB, USC

Adisa Isaac, EDGE, Penn State

Blake Fisher, OT, Notre Dame

Elijah Jones, CB, Boston College

An old neighbour had diabetes, and he was absolutely anal about his blood sugar level day to day.  And because of that, he had few issues other managing his diet, etc. His diet was still poor, but the diabetes part was managed.

Jay Cutler played with diabetes and it was never an issue. As does Patrick Peterson today. It's not something a player would want to come out with prospective employers

Can someone help me understand what the Falcons are doing? They pay Coupons (who I don’t particularly rate) a lot of money and then use #8 to take Penix?

I mean that GM must be very confident that he’s going to get all that time then…

Yeah, I guess so - I don’t think it will take a ton to win that division.

They done goofed.

Teams are reaching for QB's now because the QB class in next year's draft is thought to be terrible, and none of them are highly rated as of now.

It pains me to say it, but the Giants were smart to not reach at 6 and instead take a legit top prospect.  Yeah they'll have to suffer with Daniel Jones for now, but at least they're not making a huge draft investment in a QB that has a ton of question marks.

How do you know it was never an issue? Could have been a daily struggle with their training staff as far as we know. Also I highly doubt your neighbor is a top level professional athlete that can run a 4.3 forty at the drop of a dime :)  That's a whole different level of monitoring when someone has to include two a day workouts and such during their regimen. Smells like a BS story to try to get his value to drop personally.

OL, WR, TE, LB, S, DT, DE, they could literally go in so many different directions and not screw it up. This is the beauty of going into the draft without having any needs so glaring you  have to force something. I say sit back at 50 and get the BPA and depending on the board at 53 maybe consider a trade down to get a late 3rd or early 4th. If there are two players at 50 and 53 that they absolutely love just draft there and call it a night.

If anything they should trade up. Trading back and getting more picks seems a bit much since they already have 8 picks unless they plan to trade some away for 2025.
