  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

I’m seeing conflicting stuff. Did we get the 5 or give up a 5?

I missed it because my damn kids are too loud. Was he announced as a corner or safety?

They were showing Malcolm Jenkins highlights comparing him

I’ll admit I am a Bradberry fan. I have strong conviction that the D coordinator BS is what hurt him last season, but…

We no longer have any need for him. Use the cap space to try and take a dead cap dump if we can get a 4th rounder back for him

This is like the lito/sheldon draft lol

I'd love to land a guy like Westbrook in Round 3.

he was announced as a CB.

Slay and Mitchell outside. DeJean in nickel for this season. He can potentially  move outside next year when Slay is gone.

We have like 30 CBs. I think DeJean will be on the field with CJGJ as a DB at safety/nickel hybrid

We have 2 nickels one the roster, and 5 outside CBs. Ricks, Slay, 24, Ringo, Rodgers, and Mitchell.

How quickly will his name become DeJawn

CB

I would be highly surprised if that’s the Eagles plan

Yeah maybe if we hadn't signed CJGJ, but not with him here now.

No one, just saying it got full fast. Maddox, Rodgers, Bradberry, Ricks, Jobe, Hall, McPhearson, Garner all clearly on the bubble. Wouldn’t be surprised to see some of them moved even if it’s just a day 3 pick swap

I honestly think Ringo could be moved. He's got supreme talent, but maybe the coaches don't see him as a fit here.

I would be shocked if it wasn’t.

We’ll see. They never invest that much in a safety, especially after giving Blakenship more money and signing CJGJ with Brown also in the mix

I think he starts at safety over the other white guy

lol love Brandon Graham!!! Interesting they called him a DB and not a cb or S.

He will be a Nickel/S. I’m so FING FING FING FING PUMPED!

And a great trade by Howie:

40, 78, and 152

for

50, 53, and 161

We gave up 161 to get 152.

I've been calling for Cooper DeJean since last year. I'm so happy with this. Don't forget he's an ELITE return man. With the new kickoff rules, he's going to be a weapon. He also might make Covey expendable.

In the XFL did they often have 2 returners deep? You can have DeJean and Isaiah Rodgers back there together. Thats pretty spectacular.

That's because that's what he is... which is likely why he lasted to the 2nd round.   He's a bit undefined regarding position... which actually helps him here, IMO.

My feeling was always whoever drafted him would start him at corner and if he can’t do it just move him to safety. Maybe play him some hybrid like we did with maddox early on under Schwartz

Maybe we can get trott jr. With 78

Better picks than him available.. jr probably there in 4-5 round still. All the top lbs are still on the board

CB

Announced as DB on ABC but chyron might've listed CB

What did we give up to move up?

Philadelphia received the No. 40 overall pick, the No. 78 pick and No. 152 pick in exchange for No. 50, No. 53 and No. 161.

So that #53 pick essentially slides back to #78. Good Job Howie.

Yes secondary is fine now. Good job Howie!

Easy now.... Secondary just got very young.   That's going to lead to mistakes by young players.   But, there are finally some building blocks in place.  Much better than last year.

Man a run on DBs just happened. No way in hell would DeJean have made it to #50.

Awesome trade Howie.
