I had made the argument earlier for him at #22.

He will fit perfectly in Fangio's scheme.  Versatility to play slot and safety along side CJGJ will allow us to disguise our coverages.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

We gave up 161 to get 152.

Thank you.

We’ll see. They never invest that much in a safety, especially after giving Blakenship more money and signing CJGJ with Brown also in the mix

CJGJ may play nickel more than S now, which is where he belongs.

Having two uber athletic, versatile, talented, and young DB on rookie contracts is massive. If Fangio can develop them into quality starters we will be looking way better.

Props to Howie for recognizing the teams biggest weakness and fixing it.

Blankenship will get reps but he’s not a starter. They didn’t give him anywhere close to enough money to lock him in as a starter.

He's not playing outside CB, he will be a Swiss Army knife mostly playing safety and being Vic's field general.

Im fine with him living in the slot forever. But he can move outside after Slay if they want him to. Or, hopefully Ringo works out and then DeJean can stay inside and be the swiss army knife.

I’m seeing conflicting stuff. Did we get the 5 or give up a 5?

Pick swap. Our #161 for a 2025 5th

I forgot about Brown.  We have an embarrassment of riches in the secondary now.

He also might make Covey expendable.

No one, just saying it got full fast. Maddox, Rodgers, Bradberry, Ricks, Jobe, Hall, McPhearson, Garner all clearly on the bubble. Wouldn’t be surprised to see some of them moved even if it’s just a day 3 pick swap

As of right now we have 14 corners on the roster.

Man a run on DBs just happened. No way in hell would DeJean have made it to #50.

Awesome trade Howie.

It will be interesting to see how the two Bama CB do in the NFL compared to Mitchell and DeJean. I'm thrilled with both, but the Eagles took their CB right before both Bama boys.

Swapped 161 for 152 according to espn

Didn't see that coming.... Lito and Brown like move

LB says hello...

DeJean will become a fan favorite in Philly

I’m fine giving up both 2s for DeJean. He was the best player heading into today.

I am actually incredibly shocked we went the first two picks without going OL or DL

It's easy guys. Cooper DeJean = Tyrann Mathieu

Pay back for when they grabbed Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix... and the Eagles ended up with Marcus Smith.

I said that this was not a good 2nd round class. This was a top-heavy draft. Well, we're going to come out of it with TWO athletic freaks on our worst unit (DBs). LOVE IT.
