Maddux is little more than a camp body on the deal he got.   He was insurance against not getting anyone in the draft.   Now that they have... he's almost guaranteed to be off the 53.

100% a safety, but can move in and out. Our safeties/nickels are going to be really versatile. 

I think he competes for the starting job at nickel and maybe in his second year they play around with him at safety and maybe move into a direction where he and CJGJ are interchangeable switching between each other at safety and nickel on the field throwing different looks at offenses.
