Umm, check out one of my answers in your draft thingy.  I'm probably a genius.

That was a purposeful question I had a hunch most people would get wrong if this came to fruition. If you got it, very nice job!

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

yes. get ready for more excitement.

Dont mind this guy going to Dallas. I wasnt a big fan and eagles had interest.

Best available OL in RD3 and we're golden.

but how about Zinter?

That would work

On the fence about the DeJean pick. While we can still get value in the 3rd, I felt having those two 2nd rounders would’ve gotten us a decent LB and OL - now it’s one or the other in the 3rd.  DeJean better pan out as a S or this will look like we got too cute and/or overreached.

Yeah, I’m fine with it.

I really wanted him, but recognize that he was a project.

Good chance there are some fun WR prospects there as well.

How did we overreach for a top 25 talent at 40?

More on that 2022 trade...

In my opinion, I am okay missing out on Jefferson if it makes Howie draft like this for the rest of his career. It's been so nice for a lot of our picks to make sense and not be headscratchers anymore.

If the Eagles win another Super Bowl... I'll never mention it again.   Not yet though... not yet.

Cowboys always have a good draft

Had zero interest in Kneeland.

Reminded me of the late Andy Reid era 2nd round picks.

Meh - our guys can handle him.

There are a bunch of exciting players out there yet.

Troy Franklin

Jaylen Wright, Trey Benson

Payton Wilson

and TEs Sanders and Stover.

Other good options but less exciting names- Colson, Christian Haynes, Braswell, Zinter...

Just so happy this guy is an Eagle. He's an elite athlete with some of the best body control and field awareness I've seen. One thing we've all been complaining about for years is how the Eagles defense lacks playmakers and guys who make game changing plays. Mitchell and DeJean both have a nose for the ball and an nose for the end zone. These guys are going to change the face of the defense.

Did I miss the part where our secondary was the worst in the NFl last year?

I will go to my grave bitter about that pick

I don’t like or care for any of these edge rushers. Just punt on them this year.

Good player picked by Dallas…but, who the hell is snapping the ball for them? And they can’t seriously think Guyton is playing LT in 2024.

Once again - they are clearly not trying to win this year.

I wanted Edgerrin Cooper, but I would have preferred DeJean simply for the fact that I think he is less of a risk and plays a more important position.

Cowboys using the Eagles usual draft strategy of building through the lines while Howie is doing something the franchise hasn't done since 2002 with CB in the first two picks.  After an offseason where they gave out the biggest RB contract to a FA.  A definite change in approach to his plan of action this season.  I'm thinking Lurie didn't just make Sirianni change it up with two new coordinators but also is making Howie change it up, or at least making Howie feel some heat for him to then change up his approach so drastically this offseason.
