We need a LB. I want a LB.

But I cant help but get too excited thinking about Troy Franklin's speed in the slot for this team.

Will he wear one or two shoes?

Can Howie go LB coming up? Lots left

Corley is a good WR. Would have liked him here. Going to be slim pickings for any WR help at this point. Parris Campbell, times yours.

Roman Wilson is still available right?

He could be a really good playmaker to add.

another OL run with Washington and NE. Might not be OL left for Howie to take in this spot. Leaving LB or WR as the right choice.

Washington big miss here.

he is.

Damn, I liked Coleman too.

Commanders are having a really nice draft

What I also like is that DeJean is an excellent tackler, and Mitchell only  missed like 3 tackles? So, also a good tackler. Defense needed tackling last year. Now with those guys, and Blankenship its a pretty good tackling secondary.

Yup. Just need to move Gardner-Johnson to nickel rather than S. He can drag people down okay if he's even with people (like when playing man as a corner without too much cushion), but tackling from depth really isn't his kind of thing. This is especially important with how weak our linebacker group is.

The commanders couldn’t afford to send a player?

Kind of hope we trade up to get him. Don’t think he lasts 9 more picks

and he didn’t

Coleman was in college for 6 years. And he's still raw!

I liked Mazi but he didn't look great last year

Maybe he’ll have something this year…they asked him to lose weight last year for the scheme, idk. Really disappointed in leadership, not getting too emotionally invested just yet. Tired of them being just good enough to keep me interested year after year after year…

Damn, Chargers.

You don't use 2nd round picks on " depth"

Remember when Howie drafted for need and everyone was screaming about Best Player Available, and now that he drafts more like that, people are super opinionated about need? Good times. Lol.

Hoping that Either Colson or Payton Wilson slips to us.  Either would be a steal.

I agree with final roster talent in the secondary, and adding DeJean should/will help. My concern is the limited or non existent depth in other positions, specifically the LBs, OL, and at DE. Thought we could’ve addressed that at 50/53.

The difference is one player... and we can address it with 40/78.

How many players did you expect them to land with 50 and 53?  My expectation was at least one, but no more than 2.   They got a player... at a position desperately in need of an upgrade.

They have added 2 players to increase the overall talent of the team.   One was widely speculated to go in the top 15 or so, they got him at 22.   The other was widely considered to be a first round pick.  They got him at 40.  That's a win.  Forget the positions and focus on the talent and the value.  They are doing fine... and they still have 6 more picks to work with.

Patience, grasshopper.

I assume Colson is going to SD.

Payton > Colson

Trying to kick a football with a bare foot is one of the my most painful childhood memories.

Troy Franklin, Javon Baker, Roman Wilson.... a good one is likely going to be available for us.

Roman would be my pick.

My working OL list.  5 dudes.  12 picks.

Chris Haynes, OL, UConn
Cooper Beebe, OL, Kansas State
Brandon Coleman, OL, TCU
Christian Mahogany, OL, Boston College
Zak Zinter, OL, Michigan

I think Zinter may be the guy.

Him or Wilson are likely to still be there in 9 more picks. As well as a nice WR- Baker, Wilson, Franklin. Does Burton continue falling through this round as well?

Isaiah Wright at RB.

Still have OL Beebe, Haynes, Amegadjie, Zinter

Gonna have a really good player available here.

Payton’s comp is LVE on ESPN. Wonder if that’s due to being injury prone.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a WR.

The board is pretty flat for me. No one is a must have. Trade down!
