Hopefully they see Wilson as a TE. They have no need for an outside receiver any time soon and not drafting a TE this year was/is dumb.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

I hope Howie figures out a way to draft/sign the Mailata-esque OT prospect out of England.

Hope he’s already in the weight room.

Let’s hope not. Things aren’t going so well for the genetic jackhammer.

Alright:

Mitchel: awesome
DeJeane: awesome, but figure out how to use him.
Hunt: Meh, but could be an interesting fit and unusual balance of coverage ability and pass rush.  Also more impressive given the depth of this draft.
Shipley: 3rd down back of the future (and a bit for the present).  Will contribute fun plays and will do it sooner rather than later.
Smith: Will suck, but a body to fit the crafty slot with return ability type.
Trotter Jr: Fun pick.  More upside than people realize for an off-ball LB.  If his play IQ is as high as they say, he could have a real future as a field general here in the way people once hoped for from Dean.
Keegan: will never play here, aside from injury.  But is going to be one of those backup OL that sticks around for 5 years and they speak highly of.
Wilson: fun transition to TE project.  Boom-bust.  And they are due to hit on one of these TE fliers eventually.  They've missed on like 5 in a row (all at 0 investment, so it's fine).
Mcmahon: the upside to be what Keegan will be, the downside to get cut immediately.

Fight me.

Agreed other than Smith. He ain’t gonna suck.

Yes.

If he lines up inline he's more of a TE

Not in today's nfl. You have wide receivers lining up in tight sets, you have tight ends lighting up wide etc. So that theory is incorrect. Now if he puts his hand down in the dirt while he's lined up, sure. But in the end he's a receiver that's about it. List them whatever position you want

Someone please do a RAS comp for McMahon - Kelce.

cant ever get that to work

About right, or to summarize:

Two stud DBs like Lito and Sheldon and Woodchopper Jr - plus some guys we won’t see on the field.

Trotter will be an overachieving special teamer for 3 years and then quietly join the coaching staff

Freakishly similar.   NextGen gave Kelce a 98 score.  McMahon got a 95.

TE, it will cost less when we tag him.

Just watching Hunt's presser. The kid is absolutely beaming to be an Eagle.  You can see how excited he is

Pretty sure he was already drafted a few rounds ago

Its just the intro one.  We've seen bedrooms, front steps, but not from a car. A new one for me

Sign Mekhi Becton to be our backup OT and call it a day.

No. That was the kid out of BC.

I give this draft a B+.

The first two picks were an A, the rest are a B/C and time will tell. Howie made some unconventional picks and traded back and probably took a player or two too many for the roster so may have waster picks. Would have been to stay put/trade up or trade to next year a little more.

Smith and Brown play in the slot too. We could use someone who can also play outside when that happens.

One thing's for sure. The Eagles are expecting Carter, Davis and Williams to eat up a lot of those snaps that Fletcher Cox played. I wonder what they see in Thomas Booker. He's a player. If Booker and Ojomo can become contributors rather than bottom of the roster guys, that would go a long way.

I think Howie got aced on some of his targets, specifically Roman Wilson and Suamataia and promptly traded out.

That fact seems to get lost on folks.  We aren't looking for a 'slot'.  We're looking for a guy to be on the field in 13 personnel.
