  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Word is that he's waiting til after the draft to pick a team. Not sure it'll be the Eagles, but he probably signs somewhere in the coming days/weeks.

I dont see room for him anymore. Not gonna bench Blankenship.

Have no desire for Justin Simmons now.

Any vet we acquire needs to be a starting LB or backup OT.

No need/spot for Simmons any more.

If they see DeJean as a Safety though it may mean Blankenship eventually becomes the #3? But I agree to start the year that isn’t going to happen and I can’t see them signing Simmons now as that would take time away from DeJean (potentially).

They don't need him now. Vet guard, vet DL, vet LB maybe

OK, now that we are seemingly done with the draft and I've turned it off. It's time for the NFL to have a separate broadcast of the draft for football guys. I don't care one bit about a single person they trotted out there for picks. That includes former players, DEI reps, Governors, International fans, NFL reps or anyone. I want someone to walk to the podium, announce the team and the pick and then get some solid breakdowns of said pick. I want this for every pick even down through the lower rounds. This was the most annoying draft to watch for a fan of the draft process, prospect overviews and other important football information.

There were some moments that were even more annoying than normal ---- like that time they waited over 15 minutes to take the detroit pick to the podium so they could show various home crowd garbage. Meanwhile 4 other selection cards had been turned in and the fans that care about meaningful things are left wondering what's going on.

As far as coverage goes, I thought the NFL Channel stayed true to the draft coverage the longest --- the only problem I had with them was the stream was behind the others by about 30 seconds. The NFL Network and ESPN both bail on covering the moment too soon. Just because it's round 5, 6, and 7 ... hold on ... Puppies!!!!...  I digress ... Just because it's round 5, 6, and 7 doesn't mean the fans that are still watching are all of a sudden disinterested in the current selection.

Did Howie come out and say they are done yet?

I think Ojomo plays a lot more than people expect. Hes a legit NFL player IMO.

Especially as a 5t

I like that idea. What bothers me the most is Day 3 when they are totally ignoring the picks and prattling on about some bs like how Tom Brady was a 6th round pick - like it’s new information.

It is new information to the new target audience of the draft coverage.

Mahogonay just went to Lions

It really doesn't matter what he's listed as position-wise. He's a receiver. You can list him as a wide receiver or a tight end it doesn't matter when he's on the field he's there to catch the ball. That's not going to change the mind of the defenses on who they put on him. They're going to try to match them up the best they can with what they have

His ability to put a hand in the dirt and block with semi respectable success and frequency will still dictate the defensive coverage he sees when he functions as that receiver.

Maybe we can trade Jobe and Ricks for some picks since they were so valuable.

Ojomo can be a solid player.

so can Trevor Booker.

QB factory opening up in NY

I bet Whittington will be fantastic for the Rams. Nice pick.

Obviously, you're making light of them, but if either shows progression as a player over last year, a team could very well offer something for them as we near the roster cuts. Both guys have demonstrated promise. Jobe kind of leveled off last season, but Ricks probably surprised a little more.

Keegan seems to be an Eagles fan - shares the same agent as Lane

So I guess Hennessy and Steen battle it out for starting RG. The other is the backup there. The Michigan guy is the backup LG. And McMahon is the backup center.

Seems we know their 1st round pick next year. Its an OT.

Steen is starting RG and backup RT. Lane goes down, Steen kicks out and Hennessy slots in at RG.

Agreed. Though I would still be VERY interested in trading for Trey Hendrickson from CIN.

I thought Jobe was excellent at ST so that gives him as edge

Wouldn’t Curtis Jacobs be a decent all around LB as insurance to step in if our little guys can’t stop the run?
