It's Timelord technology... it's bigger on the inside.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Right I think the Simmons ship has sailed. Need a backup RT badly tho.  Not sure who that is

well, I dont think Garret Greenfield was drafted yet. Lets see if he gets to UDFA.

I view DeJean as our nickel, and still, you have Gardner-Johnson and Blankenship starting at safety. Brown is a backup there and you just need more depth. No spot for Simmons.

I think Dejean will be everywhere.

he certainly will. but theyll have to write his name on the depth chart somewhere. primarily, nickel.

Still quite a few picks to go but good call

What's wrong with Fred Johnson?

"They" writing the name on the depth chart is the communications team and the website.  The coaches... nah.  That's a formality that they don't need to worry about.   As long as he's one of the 11 on the field... that's all that matters.

I am really looking forward to some creativity with him in the fold.   Of all the draft picks, he's the one that has me excited that we might see some wrinkles from the defense.  I'm tired of the 2 deep shell, letting the ball be completed all the time and just hope for the offense to screw up.  Sometimes we need the defensive scheme to force the offense into the mistakes.

Besides not getting Verse, this is a very successful draft.

The 2 deep shell is probably not going anywhere. The players who are supposed to make plays underneath that umbrella are now more athletic, and instinctive. So we will make plays on the underneath stuff now, while still playing it safe with the deep safeties.

Cam Jurgens brother just got drafted by the Vikings

deep deep sleeper to the vikings. probably the best human in this draft. I was hoping to get him UDFA.

I've got no problem with the shell.  But every now and then, a wrinkle would be nice.  A 3 deep shell... quarters... robber... even a 0 blitz from time to time.

you get all of the looks from cover 2 to cover 9.

You usually dont get the more aggressive 1 high or 0 blitz stuff though. And probably still wont.

BUT, there will be more plays made now with more athletic LBs and more playmakers in the secondary.

Crazy that Devonshire was a 7th rounder.

Leonard Taylor is also a potential steal who is still out there.

damn. Vele got taken. Thats my Gabriel Davis type prospect. Later round guy I was most sure could potentially start outside.

He’s alternate universe Nick Bosa. An Olineman who’s not horribly boob

The fact that the Eagles drafted absolutely no OTs this weekend suggests to me Steen is probably the backup RT and Hennessy may be the RG. Or at the very least Steen will compete for the job, but they aren't confident he'll win it. The Eagles are not going into next season with Fred Johnson as their backup RT and OTs are harder to find than guards. I think if they thought Steen was this major frontrunner at RG, they'd have taken an OT this weekend.

Last year he was exclusively on left side. We’ll see if they are ready to cross train this year or if Steen gets reps at RT

So if history repeats itself, both will be SB champions and then start a successful podcast?
