Shipley seemed appreciative of the Eagles selecting him.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Vols fan here, so this makes me happy…even though I don’t think he will make the team.

THIS was a guy on my day 3 wishlist all day. I’m Fing psyched. He’s a 3-4 DE who can play inside in even fronts. Always tough to make the team as a UDFA but he should have an easy time making the practice squad and developing.

Interesting RB battle between the PS guy they snagged and Milton to see if a 4th RB makes it or not.

Would also love to see Shipley beat Gainwell for the #2 job.

we got the next Chris Jones as a UDFA apparently .  Good work Howie

No signing bonus... just a red Swingline stapler.

He better. Gainwell is Mid.

Behind Saquon, it’s Shipley vs Gainwell for RB2/3DRB and then Milton vs Davis-Price vs Nichols for RB4 if they keep 4. Milton would bring a dimension that Shipley and Gainwell won’t.

I think Howie did this for you guys to taunt you by showing how many potential scapegoats he has.

Is Fangio pictured? He has him teed up already if Hunt busts.

They’re really pissed about the players last season lol

There is something to be said about having guys with something to prove on the roster who fight to prove it.   Last year's team was a wet noodle down the stretch, just rolled over and played dead, until they died.

Covey was good the last year and a half as PR, but I wonder if he'll make the team with Smith and DeJean on the roster. Smith is really good returning punts and Covey who never sees any snaps at WR is a waste of a roster spot, especially if Smith and Wilson both make the team. Campbell probably will make it. That's 5 WRs and not even including Parker.

He's got a tough battle that's for sure. Smith, DeJean and Shipley are all good to elite returners and will have roles on the team. Smith is the slot WR, DeJean is going to play all over and Shipley very well could take Gainwells snaps. There's no room on this team for a guy who is just a returner.

Howie just said the UDFA group was 7

That seems young for the NFL.

That’s definitely a stretch.  But in all seriousness, I would have been ok taking him in the 5th and really happy in the 6th. He’s a really good UDFA signing. He will make the PS at worst. Good size for 3-4 DE with pass rush ability.

Regarding Smith, Lance Zierlein mentioned that he had a season-ending injury in 2022 and didn’t look like the same player in 2023. Maybe he just needed a year to get back to form?

I watched the Trotter Jr draft video on PE.com and they showed the NFL.com coverage of the pick. It showed his 40 as 4.82. Not sure where they got that. Cynthia Freelund, their sports science/analytics person, noted that he plays faster than his timed thing. I’m curious if that is based on the eyeball test or GPS.

Some of those futures guys are getting cut. Wonder if they do Bradberry a solid and cut him now to find a team or if they wait until June 1.

If you had told me the Eagles were getting Jeremiah Trotter Jr. last year or during the season this year I would be thrilled. As a huge college football fan who watches a lot of games, Clemson is on quite a bit and you couldn't turn on a Clemson game without Trotter making multiple impact plays per game. Guy is a baller. I posted during the draft that bringing him in would be a mistake because he could never live up to expectations, but now that he's here I'm so happy. He's better than Dean. Wouldn't be shocked one bit to see him start as a rookie.

As they should be, bunch of lifeless losers the last month and a half of the season. Half of them straight up looked like they didn't even want to be there at the wildcard game, it was embarrassing.
