OK, now that we are seemingly done with the draft and I've turned it off. It's time for the NFL to have a separate broadcast of the draft for football guys. I don't care one bit about a single person they trotted out there for picks. That includes former players, DEI reps, Governors, International fans, NFL reps or anyone. I want someone to walk to the podium, announce the team and the pick and then get some solid breakdowns of said pick. I want this for every pick even down through the lower rounds. This was the most annoying draft to watch for a fan of the draft process, prospect overviews and other important football information.

the rappoport cam,  where they just put a camera on rappoport and he just does what he wants.   It's just him talking on the phone or looking at his texts.  Occasionally then just saying the thing.  "Eagles get Mitchell"  And the graphics on the screen aren't great, they're not bad, but they could be better. could have all those data points like ras and running times and jumping distances and all that.  "you see, turning when running fast, that's the 3 cone".

I didn't think the NFL Network broadcast was annoying though.  It was fine.  In 2024, things are expected to get worse.  If something is slightly worse than last year,  it's the same.  There isn't any  expectation that things,  like a tv show,  are going to get better.

Anim Dankwah. Took him nearly every time I did a fun mock. Tremendous size, let Stout start working his magic.

Told you all.

He is actually pretty agile given his size. He can run WR routes pretty well, breaks better than you would assume. Obviously he’s not as agile as Smith, but you put him in isolation out wide against a 5’10” CB and he has the potential to dominate.

Well then

Some of those futures guys are getting cut. Wonder if they do Bradberry a solid and cut him now to find a team or if they wait until June 1.

There would be no reason to wait until June 1st. They are either going to cut him asap or bring him to camp to compete.

He's got a tough battle that's for sure. Smith, DeJean and Shipley are all good to elite returners and will have roles on the team. Smith is the slot WR, DeJean is going to play all over and Shipley very well could take Gainwells snaps. There's no room on this team for a guy who is just a returner.

maybe.   I'd think that being top whatever, 3 or 5 at punt returning should let you keep the job.  But maybe not.  The Eagles can simply give Covey snaps.  It's not like he is going out there and doing bad.  A lot of teams simply have 5 or 6 wrs, and they all get snaps.  The Eagles give a whole lot of snaps to Smith and Brown.   Anything could happen.

Is Fangio pictured? He has him teed up already if Hunt busts.

Is that JJAW on the left in the back?

Who are you taking snaps away from to give to Covey? It's not happening.

Random Reglar will be the first one to help Britain pack his bags

Slow, but strong! Finally got that big back.

sure, the argument could be made that Smith and Brown should never come off the field ever, and getting worn down and hurt is unavoidable.   others would argue that it's not necessarily the best thing to have 2 wrs on the field more ofte than any other team.

I personally think it's more important to make sure you've got the important star receivers healthy than it is for certain players to get a lot of snaps or targets.  Who would I take snaps and targets from?  Brown and Smith.  They had too many snaps last year and they were both hurt at some point near the end of the season.  One of the reasons why "more wrs" is called for is to make the regular season easier on the very expensive wrs who are needed to win games in the playoffs.

Ainias Smith does everything Covey does but he does it better. Covey is also already 27. It's not like Covey is going to all of the sudden become a contributor.

As the nfl races towards 18 games it's going to be more important than ever to watch snap count over the season.

The Lurie part at the end really hit hard.

Yes, we can agree that Smith and Brown can come off the field and shouldn't be playing as many snaps but those snaps are not going to Covey. They will go to Parris Campbell, DeVonte Parker and Ainias Smith before Covey.

Don't know much about him but just seems like a Darren Waller type physically

Tommy brought up a good point in his day 3 wrap up post. The Eagles got extra picks next year and they might be preparing for some kind of draft pick penalty for tampering with Barkley.
