I think they are going to go with an older established DC that isn't going to necessarily be a threat to leave as a HC some day.  Rather than a younger unproven guy like Al Harris.  Ron Rivera or someone else along those lines.  I'm trying to think of who else might fit into that.  I think it's a long shot but I would love Pete Carroll at DC if he was willing to accept that just to be able to keep coaching in the league.  His overboard positive attitude stuff would fit hand in hand with Sirianni's cornball ways.

Would you be more comfortable with Big Dom at OC or DC this upcoming season?

My bigger fear is Goff when he’s gonna need to make a throw does something stupid like he did against the bears games this year and the Gb game in Detroit.

Baker tried to give us the ball last week, Purdy tried to throw 2 pick sixes today, Goff is Goff. Remaining NFC QBs are sus.

The next HC could look at Hurts and say, I want someone who doesn't leave the pocket at the first hint of pressure and has a strong arm.  Or does not want to work with a diva like AJ Brown.

It's fair.  But does that means a HC who made the playoffs 3 years in 3 should be fired? It comes across as a bit dramatic when comparing the Birds with someone tike the Jets, Panthers, etc. And why does the GM not face the same feet to the fire meeting and media rumour mill over their future that the HC does?

We don't get ****y articles about dissent in the FO do we? Why is that?

You seem very rational right there will all of that.

A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.  I didn't like a lot of what I saw during the season,  but I did recognize that wins were happening.  And those wins got the Eagles to the playoffs. And you just don't fire the coach after 100% playoff seasons.  Playoff games are Any Given Sunday.   Last weekend, half the teams lost.  And teams with terrible fanbases call for the coaches to be fired.   Expected value of Siri as head coach is playoffs 100% of the time and the Super Bowl 33% of the time.  That's an extremely high expected value.  If you want to get rid of Siri,  because you think that Brian Johnson, long run, is a better bet?  You should be able to get something valuable,  like draft picks or players, from a team for Siri.  The resume reads Playoffs, Super Bowl, Playoffs,  and any team is going to find that an upgrade, because they just fired their coach,  who they didn't make the playoffs with.  Siri is a young head coach who makes the playoffs,  teams are hiring young OCs for head coach jobs, uncertain of their capabilities as hc.   Siri took the Eagles to the playoffs 3 years in a row, including Super Bowl.   He's worth draft picks,   Gruden - 2 playoffs after 2 not playoffs - got 2 first round picks and 2 second round picks in a trade.  Siri would theoretically get more.

Doug was fired after a 4-11-1 season.

Siri just had a 11-6 season and made the playoffs

No chance they hire anyone as wild as Rex Ryan or Wink Martindale.

I don’t disagree. However, I also don’t think Brock Purdy is going up against a good defense vs. the lions. I think the Niners defense is actually good. To me the difference in that game is likely niners defense.

Niners D didn't look all that great today. Green Bay reminded us that they can be run on and that their secondary isn't all that great. All about what Detroit's OL is looking like. Did Love get sacked today? I don't think he did. If Deebo can't go I like their chances. If they get past TB of course.

SF defense the last 4 packers possessions went int, punt, missed FG and int. I still trust SF defense ant home over the lions defense on the road. Since week 7  on the road, the lions gave up 38 to Baltimore, 38 to the chargers, 28 to the saints, 28 to the bears, 24 to the Vikings and 20 to the cowboys. Maybe they turned the corner in that cowboys game but i don’t trust them on the road nor Goff based off his last 3 years with his splits. Lions defense at home giving up 21.7 ppg. On the road 27.8 ppg. Goff this year at home 70%, 19 tds, 6 ints and 107 Qb rating. Goff on the road this year 65%, 11 tds, 6 ints and 89.4 Qb rating.

The ints were self inflicted. 9ers just happened to catch their's.

Ok. Can say the same thing for the lions defense last week vs. rams. The rams issues were more self inflicted then lions defense doing very much. Again Goff isn’t anywhere close to the same Qb on the road nor is the lions defense. I gave you the numbers. They are what they are.

I'm not arguing about the Lions. My argument is more so that the 9ers are overrated. They beat up on what turns out to be a bunch of frauds in the NFC and damn near got knocked out today. Just saying I like the Lions chances but just like GB they won't be favored to win.

I would argue the top 4 teams in the nfc are overrated: Niners, cowboys, lions and eagles. Sadly it’s a year if the eagles didn’t collapse and had a somewhat competent defense probably could’ve gotten back to the Super Bowl.

Ravens since about week 11 have been playing the best football of anyone. I’m not sure it’s really close and it starts with their defense. Feels like Buffalo is hot at the right time and KC may have figured out what they have to do to win last week. I trust reid in a matchup with shanahan. At this moment i probably would take ravens, Buffalo and KC over Sf and lions. Add on with afc, burrow got hurt otherwise I’d probably take cincy over those teams too. Cincy smacked the niners

Ravens look fierce.  A good defense figures out what the Niners are trying to do under Shanahan. GBs defense isn't even all that great and they held the 9ers in check most of the game. Them fools just couldn't catch the damn picks.

Ravens defense is legit. Humphrey didn’t even play today. They’ve played 18 games and only 2 teams scored over 24 points against them. 4 teams scored 24 or more (one of hem cardinals scored a meaningless garbage time td). That’s ridiculous in todays nfl. I’m curious if they run into the bills how they defend aopen and how their defense holds up. They haven’t faced an elite dual type threat like josh Allen this year. They faced Stroud, burrow (when he had the calf injury in week 2), herbert, Goff, geno smith, Deshaun watson, Lawrence, purdy, Stafford and tua. But Allen is a different animal especially if he’s not committing dumb turnovers. That to me is gonna settle that game. How Allen protects the ball (assuming beat KC)

I feel like KC is going to win this one some how. Rice is starting to look legit. Playoff Mahomes healthy is a problem.

His final season record was 11-7, lost 6 out of his last 7 games, and his team didn’t even show up for the playoffs. Context matters.

I'd throw Leslie Frazier into that mix. I like a couple college guys too in Jim Leonhard & Jesse Minter. I'm a little nervous we look at Brandon Staley.

Yeah i have the same feeling. Feel like reid figured some stuff out down the stretch and in that Miami game. I think Pacheco could also be a difference maker in this game. Imo i think McDermott needs to win this game cause it’s gonna be the same story again if they lose and at some point he’s gonna be the fall guy

Predicting that Sirianni stays during one of the football games today.
