He's better than Kenny Gainwell, Yeah, I said it.

I understand that Gainwell offers pass protection but I'll never understand the Eagles infatuation with force feeding him the ball. Boston Scott, while not a world beater, offers more juice than Gainwell ever can. He should have been used much more last year.

The RB rotation was terrible last season.  I am not sure whether that was Sirianni or Johnson.  I am hoping Gainwell isn't the primary 2 minute drill back.  Keeping Barkley on the field should be a priority.  I hope Shipley can take some of the 2 minute snaps.

My take is that Shipley is there as a backup in case Barkley can't go or to run out decided games in the fourth quarter.

I see Barkley and Gainwell as the primary 1, 2 punch.

The punch Gainwell provides is coming from Kenny Pickett's hands.

I think Shipley is the logical successor to that roster spot; Gainwell has been fine for a 150th overall pick, but at the same time I don't think he's been good enough for the Eagles to consider giving him a second contract.  I think Gainwell will get more snaps early in the season, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's more Shipley later, and the coaches likely want Shipley to beat out Gainwell for snaps at some point during the year.

I really think it’s going to come down to what Kellen Moore thinks.  If he likes Shipley better than Gainwell from day 1, then he will be the #2 back.  They brought in KM to fix a very talented offense that was drastically underperforming.  I think it will be his opinion that matters most.  But we’ll see

I'd be interested in a few of these guys. Notably Tyler Boyd, Hunter Renfrow, Calais Campbell and DJ Chark.

Rojas' biggest issue was that long looping swing.   He's gotten much quicker through the zone without the stride and without the loop.   He's a work in progress, but he's so good in the outfield... they hurt themselves more than they help themselves when he's out of the lineup.  He wasn't supposed to come to the majors when he did last year, but injuries dictated it.   And he proved his worth defensively and frankly, didn't hurt them offensively in the regular season... so they ran with it.    And even though he was bad in the playoffs, they didn't lose the series because of him.   It was due to the top of the order failing to produce not the 9 hole.  He was just a convenient excuse.

Also not talked about enough is just how good Alec Bohm has become in three years. He might be the best third baseman the Phillies have had (with how he’s playing right now) since Scott Rolen. it might even be before that and Mike Schmidt. That’s how good he’s been this year. He’s on pace for 156 RBI and he’s hitting over 360. Plus his defense has gotten much better over the last 3 years.

Campbell would make a lot of sense.

These teams had months to re-sign their guys - they didn’t want to, now they are a victim of tampering? Get out of here.

What I was thinking. Old vet. Twenty-five snaps a game. Still has some juice.

The Giants were embarrassed. AWW.

Gainwell should be a 3rd back.  He is not a dynamic runner.  I though BScott offered more as a runner and receiver. Gainwell will generally get what is blocked but he doesn't have great contact balance.  He doesn't break big runs.  His longest run is 32 yards.  He will make easy catches out of the backfield.   I think Shipley has more potential.   If we are leaving Gainwell in because he knows the 2 minute offense and is a better potential blocker,  I think that's a coaching failure.

That's the Eagles point of view, not the leagues. Hopefully, if anything, it's just a fine and no loss of picks

I like Zay Jones better than any of those WRs, he has a little more juice left IMO. But I doubt the Eagles add another WR. They've added 4 already with FA and draft so far. I think Connor Williams is the most likely FA the Eagles would have interest. Looking at the roster LB and OG look like the two areas they could still add a little more depth to.

Agreed.   I'd still say that Rolen's defense far exceeds where Bohm's is, even now.   But, Bohm's bat this season has been every thing that could have hoped for when they drafted him.   Let's hope he can maintain close to his current pace.

Looking ahead to 2025, I can see TE being on the list of day 2 priorities.

They will of course address OT and will never turn down the option to pick a DL.

But of all the other positions, we should look to get a successor to Goedert in the building.

Tampering shouldn't be illegal during the 'legal' tampering period.   Either you can tamper... or you can't.   Having bizarre restrictions on how to 'legally' tamper is ridiculous.  Besides, in years gone by, I thought players could actually VISIT with prospective teams during the tampering period.  Am I remembering that right?

Next offseason's positions of need look to be OT, EDGE, TE, LB. Not sure how the prospective free agency or draft class looks for either, except I've heard multiple people say next year's draft class for pass rush is supposed to be absolutely loaded. Like this year was for OL.

I just can't take either Campbell or Parker serious enough to not upgrade if there's a chance. 2022 versions of either DeVonte Parker or Parris Campbell would be terrific, and I really hope that's the players they are getting. Maybe I'm not giving Parker enough credit and focusing on his age too much.

No question - surprised that we didn’t get one this year.
