Zay Jones legitimately might be crazy. We don’t need him here.

That's the Eagles point of view, not the leagues. Hopefully, if anything, it's just a fine and no loss of picks

Not sure there should be a fine even. As far as I know, the only "evidence” against us are the words of a third party source. Hardly damning evidence. In Atlanta’s case, they had a direct admission from an involved party.

I think of what's left Simmons and Dalton Risner are the best of the bunch.  Maybe toss Odell into that mix.  Thoughts on Risner?

Good breakdown of the draft class from Fran.

Mitchell's mirroring at the 8:30s mark is bananas. There are some things he will need to polish up with his back pedal, zone reads, and making plays on the ball, but those reflexes and agility are rare to see outside of the top-10 CBs in the league.

DeJean showed up really well too but I still think his game translates better at S than at corner.

Campbell would make a lot of sense.

He'll be 38 by Week 1. He's been good with age and will obviously be in a rotation, but I feel like we already have that guy in Graham.

Agreed.   I'd still say that Rolen's defense far exceeds where Bohm's is, even now.   But, Bohm's bat this season has been every thing that could have hoped for when they drafted him.   Let's hope he can maintain close to his current pace.

Definitely not the defender rolen was. As much as Phillies fans hate rolen he was a great fielding 3rd baseman. But his bat is definitely lived up to what they saw when they drafted him. Hopefully Stott can also start to get going. I’m surprised he’s struggled as much as he has to start the season.

Didn't he strip naked and try to jump out of a hotel window or something?

You mean that’s not something people normally do??

Pitchers have adjusted to him and he needs to make the adjustment to them.  I've got no concerns with him.  He'll find it.   It will just take him some time.   Bohm had his own set of struggles around the same point in his career.

I think that’s part of it. I had to think the other part of it is Castellanos being in front of him and Rojas struggled for the first two weeks and was being behind him. teams aren’t going to let him beat them until Castellanos gets going and Rojas continues to hit like he has lately. Last year he had Bohm/marsh/realmuto (Jt just sucked with RISP last year. Was actually good with no one on base) a good portion of the season in front and behind. If Castellanos can just be a decent hitter and Rojas keeps blossoming i think he’ll begin to also see better pitches.

This is actually kinda scary…

Atlanta didnt have a second first rounder to trade. It would have cost 3 future first rounders to move back into the top 10, and they would have been spending that on a nonQB. That’s mind boggling how bad their front office is

I wish that clip would have run longer; you'd think once the Penix pick was announced Douglas would have called them back because he clearly had a fish on the other end of the phone.

Atlanta would have given the Jets its 2024 2nd, its 2024 3rd and a 2025 1st at a minimum to do this too.

Something like that. I think his brother saved him from jumping off a balcony. He was recently arrested for domestic assault too, although those charges were eventually dropped.

While it sounds good in theory, Jets are the most win-now team in the league, and then they wouldn’t have a 1 or a 2 due to the Rodgers trade.

For a top 10 pick? Thats not close to enough.

it costs 2 1’s just to move from low 20’s to 10, and future firsts are worth less than low 20’s

Outside of heavy metal bands?

They wanted to get ahead of Minnesota for JJ McCarthy. Smart idea to get a successor for Penix in the building.

I definitely don't see him taking a ton of snaps. But even at 37 he had 6.5 sacks and 10 TFL last year and by all means is a great locker room guy. Don't hate it as a 1 year rental to fill the Cox veteran void on the DL. I'd love 1 more guy there to fill out the roster.

I like Risner.  Wanted him last year.  Howie won't do it now.  Too early

Agreed, Stott will be fine.

Berman made a good point about comparing AJ Brown to Reddick. When the Eagles want to keep someone, they find a way to keep them. They re-signed AJ Brown and he was already signed through 2026. If they wanted to keep Reddick, they'd have re-signed him last year. The fact that they didn't speaks to them never really having a huge desire to keep him.

Wouldn't hate it, but I would just want someone a little younger. Kerrigan and Quinn burned too much.

I think Mitchell has the ability to be a top 3 CB in the league.  He seems to have the character to reach his potential too

AJ Brown is 26. Reddick is 29. It's not the same situation at all.
