This is what it's gonna take to change this rule.

This is my favorite rule

That's a touchback!

Bills ball

he fumbles before he was down

Thats a touchback

There's no way it's undisputable.

Will the NFL overturn a play that close though?

Wow that’s about as close as you can get

Love that rule. Fantastic rule!

even if bills get it I stil don't see them winning

Results matter, not paper rosters.   And Veach was the guy that brought Mahomes in.   Howie brought in Wentz and Hurts.   Veach > Howie.   I rest my case.

I wonder if we were looking for a franchise QB at the time Mahomes was drafted.

2017. Nope...

I seem to remember winning a super bowl with the consensus MVP that  year had Wentz not tore the ACL.

silly argument. lol.

That's moving.  It's the Chiefs though . They'll stay with the call on the field.

McDermott is another Siri.  He does one thing…runs a defense.  And his defenses choke in the playoffs.

They have had a ton of injuries.

And before anyone says anything about the rule, I actually like the fumble-through-end zone/turnover rule.

To me, defenses need a break anyway. And if the offense can't hang into the ball and lose it through the end zone it should be a turnover.

Maybe give it to the defense at the 10 instead of the 20, but I like the fact that it's a turnover.

That is so close... seems they have to stick with the call on the field... but that is why players need to have ball security at the goal line.  Moronic to extend the ball like that away from his body on 1st and goal.

Yup. So it should "stand"

His final season record was 11-7, lost 6 out of his last 7 games, and his team didn’t even show up for the playoffs. Context matters.

Context matters.

But if you go to the playoffs 3 times in 3 years, you simply don't fire the guy.

Rule - if you take the team to the playoffs every year,  you don't get fired.

The counter argument is just pointless, There was no violation of the rule to not fire the HC who takes the team to the playoffs every year.

What a person might want to do is come up with the list of HCs who were fired despite taking the team to the playoffs that year.    There has to be at least one.   And then you compare the record of the HC who was fired after taking his team to the playoffs to Siri's record.

And what you'll likely find is that a HC has never been fired with a record this good.

And someone says "what about horrible horrible collapse"  and some other stuff.

And then you say "it doesn't matter one bit.   When you win so much it doesn't matter.  Siri isn't the 1000 old fashion guy, there isn't some off the field murder that he's dealing with.  Let me go online to the website shouldwefire.com and take a look.   Type in how many years.   3.  Type in how many playoffs.  3.   Type in how many Super Bowl appearances.  1.   Hit the Should We Fire button.  Then the computer does the calculation.   Beep Beep Beep.   NO.   This coach has a Overall Win Score of 99.3.    The fired coach with the highest OWS was ??? with 54.2.   So, NO.   You do not fire a coach under these circumstances.    What teams have done with HCs with very high OWS who for some reason they want to get rid of is Trade them.    Gruden had a very good OWS,  not as good as Siri,  but 4 years,  2 playoffs, 0 Super Bowls,   and he was traded for 2 first round picks and 2 second round picks.   Siri,  who has a higher OWS than Gruden did when he was traded, should, in theory, get more in a trade."

By the way,  pretty soon the story of the 2023 season will be.    Hot start,  clinched a playoff spot early,  had a slump,  the best WR got hurt, was out for the playoffs, and the Eagles lost.     All this whining stuff that so many are doing won't be part of the record.   Maybe the "Eagles Fans Suck" - Slay  part will stick.

You know how I feel about the rule... and it shouldn't be changed based on this play.

Touch back rule on fumbling into the wndzone is great and needs to stay.

It’s an annual thing though.
