Is it?   It worked out great for the Eagles in 2017... everything aligned perfectly.  But do you remember why the Eagles made the big move up for Wentz in 2016?  Because they looked ahead at the future QB drafts and didn't like what they saw.  Translation:  They didn't know about Mahomes.  Veach did.  

 

Silly argument indeed.  Discounting a guy who has had more success than Howie, because he saw something in a QB that no one else did (including Howie).   Now, he's the consensus best QB... but back then he wasn't on Howie's radar at all, even though he claimed to have looked at the upcoming classes and saw that they were going to be weaker.   Give Veach the credit he deserves.
