As the EMB is now picking up the pieces of their rage about Nick, I come not to rub it in but to offer something nice.

Granted Rivera is probably the candidate they were talking about as a 'former head coach', but he doesn't have any Fangio ties either. So at the very least, the days of soft coverage might be over?

Let’s wait to see who they actually interview. Everything so far has been guesses at best.

It's apparent after watching all of the playoff games that having good to great LB goes hand in hand with success in the NFL and TE is a position that can't be ignored. There were TEs making plays all over the place in every game I watched and I think back to the Eagles season thinking what in the world did they do in order to get Goedert the ball? The only play I can think of was the great playcall for TD last week. It's a crime that they can't find creative ways to get him the ball.

Pretty much every team that played this weekend have above average LB talent. Howie is just like... Nah.

I know he's supporting his brother and all, and everyone loves Jason Kelce....but maybe at least don't wear the Chiefs hat...you know the team that beat you in the SB last year?

I don’t get why Bass is getting so much flack. That was only a game tying fg with 2 min left. KC was more than capable of GW fg.

Exactly.  Siri gets to hang around for one more year, then it’s his turn to be the scapegoat next offseason.

I would add to this they didn’t wanna do it this off-season because they were worried about optics. Because if you fire a coach a year after a Super Bowl and you fired the coach that won the Super Bowl three years later, they were scared of what a opticallly that would look like to potential candidate. If you do it a year later and he’s the scapegoat, the optics aren’t as bad.

WRONG

Diggs was even more open and gets them a first down and enables them to either bleed the clock and score a TD to win, or bleed the lock and have a significantly easier FG attempt to force OT. Buffalo's defense was getting cooked all game long and giving them the ball back with almost two minutes and two timeouts would have been handing them the game.

Even IF you are correct, he missed the throw, then missed Kincaid wide open at the 20 on 3rd down. A 50 million dollar franchise QB with a history of choking in big games is going to get killed for that sequence of events and for blowing the game and rightfully so. But hey, if you and others want to blame a kicker for missing a 44 yard FG is blustering winds knock yourself out. That game was over whether he made it or not.

Anyone making excuses for Allen blowing that game is a FN moron, plain and simple.

Yeah, we’re just not going to agree on the play to Shakir. Unfortunately Chris Jones made a good play.

It's a little over the top. The cynic in me says it's for views and he's definitely done.  Same as his pregame stuff with the Bills fans

Pretty much.  The way KC was moving the ball, good chance they get close enough for a game winning FG attempt.

He put the nail in the coffin by failing to do something expected.  So that’s the heat.  But I think it’s a near certainty KC wins it in regulation on a FG anyway.  They did it in 13 seconds last time.

Pretty sure Nick will end up being a sort of "lame duck” head coach with limited input on the offense and zero input on the defense moving forward.

And if they somehow make it work next season and make a deep run, I will be more than happy to eat crow.

I hate how some of their fans are making it seem like that one miss is why they lost. Allen wasn’t methodical in that drive. If he’s been able to connect on one of his bombs, KC was still in a great position for GW TD with 2+ min

Allen simply HAS to hit that crosser to get the easy first down. It's a no brainer with the game situation being what it was, IMO.  The end zone throw would have to have been an absolute pinpoint laser and I'm not even sure Chris Jones affected it much.

Allen just let the moment get the better of him on that entire last drive.  He was trying to do too much.  Very Wentz-esque where you just want to slap him and get him back to reality.

I like Sean McDermott, but there is no reason to lose this game. The Chiefs offense has not looked this good all year and you manage to make them look vintage. Back to back divisional round losses at home. To me they need somebody that can get them over the hump. This reminds me so much of Tampa Bay with Tony Dungy and then they went out and got Jon Gruden.

Playoff Mahomes is a different dude. We know from experience smh. They are clicking at the right time. Receivers are catching balls that they were dropping in the reg season.

Yep.  MVS looked like an All-Pro out there tonight.

Eagles were 30th in points allowed in a season where the goal was to get back to the Super Bowl; of course the defensive coordinator would be fired.

As I said yesterday, any coordinator news is a clear signal Sirianni is not going anywhere.

Pretty much.  They’re not going to release staff before releasing the head coach - at least at this point during the post season.

I think fans see replays and assume the QB can see things like we do. Shakir was very likely ahead of Diggs in the progression. If not, I’d agree, but I doubt he saw the coverage bust on Diggs and decided nah. .

Don’t disagree but at some point have to make a chang. Otherwise just continue to have the same results. Maybe you get a Bucs with gruden. And maybe you don’t. Got to try something with the window being now

also be a lesser problem if the bengals didn’t smoke them last year in the same round

I don’t disagree with you. He’s gonna be a lame duck but the optics don’t look as bad after firing him after a collapse, a bad 2024 and two years removed from SB
