Would Swift do a 1 year  prove it deal?

I think that's what she is doing with Travis.

Yup. Ringo, Ricks, Jobe should easily be able to earn CB2 over the abomination known as Bradberry. Hopefully he isn’t even here. Of course a lot depends on the DC hire. Some of these guys might fit scheme better than others, provided we have one. You know, a defensive scheme.

It would have been a case of "scoring too fast” even if successful. Ah, well. Let’s go Lions. Let’s go Ravens.

The Bills have had Josh Allen, in his prime, for 4 straight seasons.

His cap hits the last 4 years: 6M, 10M, 16M, 19M. This is now the end of cheap cap hits until he declines OR they decide to restructure and play that game. They have one AFFCG in 4 years to show for it.

We're in a similar boat with Hurts. We're more successful than the Bills given the SB appearance, but we're in the window. This is my fear wasting an extra year with Sirianni. Windows are short.

He already proved it. It's either pay him or let him go.

I was pretty tough on him during the Bucs game when I was there - in game moments tend to get emotional, etc but overall, I think he’s a solid RB. With the way this offense played down the stretch,  no one really looked good - besides a few exceptions here and there.

I’d like to have him back, complemented with a big N-S runner.  It’s going to come down to what the RB market bears in the off season in terms of $ and what not.  Either way, he’s a Philly guy and I wish him the best.

The Bills will be going the Saints’ route I bet.

If we hire Cooter as OC, I could see us sign Zack Moss as a complementary back.

I’m pretty sure after the dust settles there will be a new offensive system in place with the new offensive coordinator likely having the vast majority of control of the offense in terms of both design and play calling.   It’s likely something Sirianni had to agree with in order to stay.  Just a guess.

I think so too. They can save a max of 23M in 2024 by restructuring. Bills will likely never have a better QB in franchise history than Allen, so have to maximize it.

Doubtful after this season and with his injury history

id like to bring him back but not at a premium cost. His cost will likely be diluted by the volume available

I see the beer monster had a visit with Jason Kelce last night. The best NFL related thing this season would be to broadcasts secret camera footage of that suite; it must have been quite the thing to witness.  Far more interesting than the majority of TNF games from this season.

If ever a man was determined to outshine his brother's girlfriend on international TV, that was Jason last night.

I don't envy his wife dealing with that mess thing morning though.

It’s a good RB free agent class. I’m sure there will be some bargains out there.

As for the game.  There is something warmly reassuring for the Chiefs to get a flag at the most convenient time for them.  Quite the thing

You could have a good Chiefs drinking game for the game this week.

  • Camera pans to Swift. Take a shot
  • Mahomes asks for a flag. Take a shot
  • The OL tackles a DE from behind. Take a shot
  • Jim Johnson is mentioned in commentary. Take a shot
  • Jason Kelce streaks after the game. Drink the bottle and order Taco Bell

Much like the Ravens and Steelers have done over the past 15-20 years.

So the reports are Hurts was not on same page as Johnson and would often audible to his own plays....... Now a lot of QB's do this, but we have seen multiple examples of where he did audible and was wrong, we saw Kelce yelling back at him not to change a play in a heated exchange as one example.  I wonder with all the apparent messed up routes where two WR's would end up in the same spot,  how many other players were just improvising?  Or some would get the audible others not?

Are we sure Hurts is the guy? Cause I am not. He also does not seem to hold anyone accountable as a leader, and impressively regressed this year.  He seems to be a one trick pony.

You can fairly argue that Hurts may need his ego checking in the off-season. His refusal to play in the system and free lancing could be a bigger factor to how the season ended than had been assumed, even with how awful the D was.

if you want to go younger, you have to bring in a vet d coordinator, that's one of the reasons why our d was so good thru the draft in the early 2000s because we had jim johnson who was a vet d coordinator. it's the same with our offense, i think bringing in a vet offensive coordinator like reich would be a great fit here. he knows how to handle dual threat qbs.

I'm guessing Jason can hold his alcohol.

Spot on.  No one wants to address this elephant in the room.  All blame has fallen in the lap of the coaches,  and mostly siriani. Hurts bears a lot more responsibility in this.

if the coaches are calling the same plays over and over again, it's not working, you are telling me if you are playing qb, you wouldnt do something different?

The thing is,  it's probably a lot of Hurts play calls that weren't working and looked like bad design,  or bad ideas situationally.

Me too.  But I suspect last night was a blow out from the stress of how the Eagles season ended. Hence the lack of dress and other antics.

I don't blame him either -sometimes, you gotta accept a hangover in the morning to let some steam off.
