Rivera might not be an exciting hire, but he would bring a calming influence over Nick.

He would be a disastrous hire.  No defenses has squandered more first round picks over the last few years than his defenses.  Not to mention, you'd be bringing him into the same personnel situation he just failed in - lots of talent up front, not much on the back seven.  But sure, let's unite an offensive coach who just fired his OC with a defensive coach who had to fire his DC.  What could go wrong?

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Yeah I’m just brainstorming, throwing some names out there.

It’s likely going to be wink or rivera imo. The eagles should’ve decided this way before last night. Probably missed out on Nielsen even coming here who was likely the best coordinator  available considering his age and experience

Gonna be tough to watch siranni waste another year for the birds. Cant stand that mumbling idiot. If you have to hire a bunch of ppl to make him better than what’s the point of keeping him

Then let's give him the HC job.  It's just a matter of time until the position is open after this season. I sure wouldn't pass on him to see if Siri gets better.

they aren’t firing sirianni. People really need to get the F over it. It’s not happening. I said a month ago now it wasn’t happening. Would i have? Yes but the fact of the matter is it’s not happening. So it is what it is. Gonna likely get wink or Rivera as DC and who knows at OC. Jim Bob cooter does nothing for me as OC. Better have a better guy in mind then that.

i do agree everyone is getting canned next year when they regress more. But at this point sirianni is gonna be back unless lurie has a change of heart like he did with Doug which seems less likely

I agree with that, but a fan can still hope.  We need to add some experience into these roles, so I am all for a Martindale/Cooter combo under the cheerleader.  Maybe, Siri will make a Doug-like stand versus having coordinators forced on him....i doubt it since this is the best he will ever get.

No one else seems to have any interest in Rivera. IF he's their top candidate at the moment, stall long enough and see if Ejiro Evero eventually comes free. He probably wouldn't be here for long, but he's what I would want for now.

I came here to say that from NFL ranks Evero would be my top choice if the new Panthers HC doesn’t want him.

Otherwise I’d like them to go the college route and try for Leonhard, Minter, or the Georgia guy.

Rivera might be OK but I’m just a bit meh on him. His recent performance hasn’t exactly been great.

Id be excited for Wink.

Been far too long since the eagles had an aggressive attacking D, need ganggreen back, hes the guy to do it.

Could we get any less intimidating with coordinators names Wink, and Cooter?

Jim Bob Cooter is an all time great football coach name.  HOF material.

He was a disaster with the Jags.

As in former Eagles ST ace Mike Caldwell?

He’d be fine as LB coach though.

Do you think Johnson and Desai were good coordinators?

Was he?  I thought he was OK.

Yes but think of the memes!

Won't someone think of the memes!

Imagine the Coordinators next year are Cooter & Wink.

Sounds like a redneck comedy duo.

Caldwell is worse than Rivera

If only Cooter was a DC we could talk about him squeezing the most out of aging Cox but alas...

No I do not. That’s where your HC needs to step up. What is siranni even good at? He’s not an expert on defense, he’s clearly not an offensive expert either. I would be more inclined to have him back if the offense was playing at a high level and a poor defense. But they offense couldn’t score anything and looked completely basic and inept for most of the season. He is a glorified cheerleader who talks trash. That’s all

He lasted two years before getting fired. Was 24th in yards allowed and was 25th in passing. He improved to 22nd in yards allowed last year and stayed at 25th in passing.

If siranni were fired today, who would be lining up to hire him for their vacant HC position? Or even OC? That answer is no one. Lurie doing the team a disservice keeping him around
