second sentence is where you guys and all of the twitter dufuses you are listening to have it wrong. The simplicity is because of hurts. Its not a flaw of the coaches that held him back. Its what the coaches had to do in order for him to have a chance at success.

If the coaches expect a blitz, which Hurts faced the most in the NFL, they’re allowed to call a slant to give the QB a quick outlet.

You keep blaming Hurts and saying everyone is an emotional fanboy or a doofus or a crybaby or whatever other insult you feel the need to toss out there to feel smarter, but you also keep burying your head in the sand about obvious coaching issues and deflecting them toward Hurts.

That’s what I’m trying to figure out. They have the second best record in the NBA and they fired their coach. So there must be something going on behind the scenes that nobody knows about. Because I can’t imagine having that record that they’re like you know what you’re not good enough and we’re just gonna fire you three months into your contract to hire doc

Maybe they just realized that Doc was available?

No. I have criticized Brian Johnson as well. I cant tell you how many times I said he sucked too.

hoping with a new OC its gonna happen next season. Shouldnt have to let you know. Itll be obvious.

Oh right, because Shane Steichen really held us back and prevented us from running the real Sirianni NFL-style offense that's been under wraps for 3 years and counting.

To watch our whole run to the Super Bowl? Yeah, overall I enjoyed it, even if we did utlimately come up just short of another Lombardi.

It was fun. Especially when QB1 fumbled without being touched and Bolten had a scoop and score

I think its all of the above and I think each failure played into the others and spiral grew bigger and bigger until it really engulfed the entire team.   And for that reason I wanted a full reset with the coaching staff.

Well, you just said it wasn't Siri's offense last season, so whose was it then? Was it just a coincidence that the Colts offense went from 30th in pts per game to 10th after they hired Steichen?

However, its certainly fixable without such a nuclear option. We saw things run very well with 2 out of the 3 here. Siri and Hurts can succeed together. Also, the report is that Hurts and Johnson didnt see eye to eye. So its easy to see which ONE needed to go.

Did they forget he has a no trade clause?

And is this where we are now?  Give a QB a big contract and then trade them immediately afterwards?  Lather, rinse, repeat?

if they really believe we are better off without him, they have no clue what's going to feel like being a jets fan of hell.

Im really tired of having to repeat the same stuff I have already said a million times while you are still confused. Start reading back pages in the blog to find the answer to your question. Its in here a couple times already.

Not only that, but the cap hit involved...  Terrible post by a new member, can't be a troll!

Not that I'm entertaining the idea of trading Hurts, but NFL no trade clauses are pretty pointless. If it gets to the point the FO wants out on Hurts, there's no point for him to stick around in an awkward situation where he isn't wanted. He'll just have a say who gets to negotiate a deal.

People got excited thinking Eagles just eat a bunch of cap or trade a first to get someone to eat the cap and wanted to day dream about it lol

Lol to be fair a bunch of just found out he had a no traded clause today

Does that mean he cant be traded? Or that he has to approve a trade?

Cause if he requests a trade.... I feel like it might be possible to trade him then.

Honestly, if you truly couldn't enjoy anything else about last season because of one play, that kinda sucks. I used to be like that, but I've gotten older now and am learning to appreciate the ride more, regardless of the final result. Not trying to be snarky this time, it's just something that took a while for me to change about myself. Also not saying you need to be the same way, you're obviously entitled to feel however you want to feel about last season, I'm not trying to tell anyone the right or wrong way to be a fan.

Watson had a no-trade clause and got traded for 3 1sts. It's not a barrier.

I need to sit and do the math, but I'm pretty sure that if they cut Hurts, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to get under the cap.  The ONLY way it would happen is if he literally returned his prorated bonuses.

He can waive it.  But the Eagles can't say "F you, you're going to Arizona" without his buy in.

Likely not worth it. Hurts is staying despite a few that don't like him
