Not a part of the fanbase.  Just one guy around here and apparently people listened to him. SMH.

100% depends on who they bring in as coordinators.

And I’ll tell you this - don’t be shocked if they bring in a coordinator and name him co-head coach.  I’m almost certain that’s still on the table for the right guy.

I see the DC being someone like rivera cause they’ll view rivera like a head coach of the defense like they did with Schwartz. Offensively the names out there aren’t anything great. I frankly think you are gonna get someone like a Frank reich or Jim Bob cooter. And i don’t think they are fixing the issues. I’ve felt for a while sirianni was coming back cause they wouldn’t fire him this offseason due to the optics. I think he’s coaching for his job in 2024 and frankly defense likely gets better cause i think they add personnel and a better Dc but i still see them regressing to like a 7-10 to 9-8 team which is ultimately gonna get sirianni fired (I think they’ll have the talent to be better than that but i think too much crap going on and eventually it blows up more)

Hurts isn’t going anywhere.  He’s not a quitter, it’s not in his "DNA” (As Wentz would say) ;)

Are you referring to the same guy that transferred from Alabama to Oklahoma?   That guy?

You don't know this, it's your belief. And even if it were true, there is a middle ground. You can run a simplistic scheme while still incorporating things within it to help your QB. Why were they calling QB draws when he was hurt and in pain on his knee? Why didn't they call anything for AJ Brown over the middle when those are his best routes? Why didn't they use Swift more as a receiver? Those could have very easily been done within his scheme. Why did they not run their patented bubble screens to guys who can get YAC? Why did they have their skinniest WR blocking on them? These things have nothing to do with Hurts. This is poor play design.

maybe they did.

There will be an entirely new offense in 2024 - as in new offensive system with a new offensive coordinator.  Read in between the lines.

I'm late. Last I saw was Pete is staying with Hawks and going into the FO part of the organization

What i thought too. But this came out today. I know from his son who was here in Arizona when he basically got removed from the Seahawks that he still wanted to coach.

If he comes back it'll likely be as a consultant or offensive assistant and not OC.

Sure there will. Sirianni is still here. They aren’t just installing an entirely new offense. Sorry don’t believe a guy who got to this point (had the success he’s had) using what he does is going to just completely abandon it to go with something completely different with his job on the line. Why i think reich and cooter are mentioned.

Most go down with what they know. The great coaches are willing to adapt. Unfortunately for sirianni i don’t think he’s willing to adapt as much as people think

Can't, we don't have any plays for that area of the field.

Missing the playoffs and he’s done.

Actually, anything less than a .500 record by mid season and he’ll likely be gone by mid season.

Looks pretty close to the mark.  Short leash since he is escaping the guillotine for now.

When he leaves not sure it’s gonna be his choice (more likely cut or both sides see it’s the end). I think he’s got til end of 2025 season to get himself playing at the 2022 level. If by that point he’s not i think he’s gonna be gone either way.

I’m hoping he gets himself back to 2022 level consistently. That said i think 2024 is gonna be a washed year too much crap going on  behind the scenes and in this organization. Feels like a powder keg ready to implode more. Frankly feels like 2014 going into 2015 where you had a bad end to the regular season and then all this stuff going on and then fell flat on their face

I've had a feeling for awhile, things are gonna get a lot worse before anything gets better.

Main reason why I think the next season is bound to be a disaster. Howie/Lurie/Hurts will want the offense to run one way, Nick will want to run the offense his way. Nobody will be on the same page and we’ll see the same type of output last time they tried this with Doug.

I think Hurts' ceiling as a QB is much higher than Sirianni's ceiling as a coach.

And the Eagles have to pay Hurts many more Millions of dollars.

The Eagles could force an attempt to make Hurts some sort of generic NFL QB in a generic NFL system with generic NFL coaches.

Or they get coaches who can make Jalen Hurts,  running QB,  work.   Greg Roman can do that.  Greg Roman OC + Wink Martindale DC is an exact match of what the Ravens had 5 years ago when they were first going to the playoffs year after year,  getting Lamar the MVP, etc.

This. If nick is coaching for his job, i think he goes down with what he knows and what got him to this point and had the success he’s had his first 3 years (he’s gone 34-17). I think he’ll say the right things and do the right things to keep his job. But at the end of the day he’ll fall back on what he’s comfortable with and knows. Great coaches adapt and always reinventing themselves for the better. I don’t see sirianni as that.

this feels very similar to the powder keg that was coming in 2015 where it exploded and led to a regime change in 2016. except they have a better Qb then Bradford and howie/lurie still have their power.

basically kind of alludes to what you are saying howie/lurie (even hurts) want it one way and nick wants another (i think he’s playing along right now cause he keeps his job)

1.  That would be unprecedented in NFL history

2.  They'd have just fired Sirianni instead of doing that.  THAT would be dysfunction.

We deserve better as a coach than that. And if they're settling for this because they're afraid of optics, then shame on them.

Eagles fans are not deserving of more than that.  Eagles fans are actually deserving of less than that.

You can call it optics,  but it's the football gods you don't want to piss off.

"Gotta fire the HC because the NFL's worst fan base says so."   No,  you have to throw away a year,  then fire the coach,  because you JUST DON'T fire a coach that takes you to the playoffs 3/3 with 1 Super Bowl appearance.

Maybe someone can dig through the stats to find a HC who was fired despite never missing the playoffs?

Howie's master plan:

1. Hire new coach and offensive scheme which gets us to the SB

2. Get other teams to poach our coordinators so we go downhill

3. ?

4. Profit

After he was benched.  Can’t blame a kid for that, especially if he feels it would sabotage his chances of becoming an NFL player.

How many backup college QB’s become 2nd round draft picks?
