LMAO, they can go pound sand on their way out the door too then. Brian Johnson was TERRIBLE at his job and despite the lazy narrative that a lot of the media members are pushing was not only NOT a scapegoat but deserved to get crap canned.

Definitely a scapegoat. This was Siri's offensive scheme, plans, and situational play calling. If Siri was worth his salt he would have officially taken over play calling and turned things around.

What is Siriani doing well?  please explain

What is everyone hoping we get some attempt at an answer at tomorrow?  For me:

1) How long were they considering moving on from Desai for Patricia and where were those talks like?

2) Will the new OC be allowed to put their offense in place or will they be here to run Nick Sirianni's offense?

3) If they are running the Sirianni offense then what is Nick's pitch for how he is going to improve an offensive system that had become largely predictable and stale?

4) What are they looking for in a DC? Experienced or up and coming? Any specific style?

5) How much input will the new DC have in the draft process?

6) Will the organization reassess their positional value on LB and what they are willing to commit resource wise to that position?

7) Does Howie have any regrets in how he approached last offseason by re-investing into players that were 30+ in age while letting young contributing starters on their defense in their 20s walk in FA?

8 -) With over a week now to reflect, what do you believe caused the season to nosedive like it did and what do you believe you are going to be able to do to fix it?

Well, there are very few coaches that could leave that I'd be sad to see go.   Actually... there's only one.   And he's already survived two other head coaching changes.   Bring back Stoutland, and the rest can just go pound sand.   None of them did anything to qualify for a return.

The RB rotation made no sense.  Swift was the best weapon they had to get in open space, yet Gainwell was the guy they used in that capacity.  The RB coach also HAD to be in on the discussion regarding the Penny signing.  That was a great move.  He's gotta bear some responsibility too.

WR coach - Moorehead has developed NO ONE.  Smith came in as essentially a finished product.  Probably one of the top 5 WR technicians to be brought in from NCAA in the last 20 years.

TE Coach - WE have ZERO depth behind Goedert.  Literally ZERO.  The back up TEs provided this team with NOTHING.   Stoll is pathetic.  And please, don't give me his blocking.  For as much as he was used in the passing game, the Eagles would have been better off using Tyler Steen as an extra OL in the game than to play Stoll.  Calcaterra barely played and STILL managed to get hurt.   And Albert O... Another great trade!  Fortunately, we gave up next to nothing... but he brought exactly NOTHING to this team.

Passing game coordinator?  Is Patullo the genius that thought that Smith should be lead blocking on WR screens?  Is he the genius that ignored the middle of the field as part of the passing game?    I know Hurts is short... and so was Drew Brees.  Brees made a killing over the middle in his career.   That's where Hurts should be going much more than he does.

And speaking of that... where was the QB coach in helping the QB develop that short passing game over the middle?

And the defense?   Virtually zero development of the LBs and DBs...  And the DL, despite the investment under achieved.

Fire them ALL.

I’d retain Singleton dependent on if he is the one that makes the call on RB rotation. I know Duce used to, but I don’t recall anything after him. Based on the comment it feels like Sirianni determines it. Sanders and Swift had career years. Gainwell has turned into a playable RB2. Penny sucked but I put the blame on that to Howie plus him just being washed.

Beginning to sound like a broken record in here.

Seems like Sirianni is staying.  Stop complaining and deal with it.

If he doesnt turn things around right away next year then he'll be gone.

most of us don't need to see 5-12 to know he should be gone.

I’m almost positive he did take back play calling, he just didn’t turn it around. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that around the time it leaked out Patricia was calling plays on defense the offense started struggling comparatively to the rest of the season.  Add the report the players themselves were confused who was calling plays plus the fact the offense looked just as disjointed and stupid as it did the first 7 games of 2021. It paints a picture imo.

He has people skills. He’s good at dealing with people so the front office doesn’t have to. Can’t you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people??

Michigan site.

- As I’ve mentioned previously, If Harbaugh goes, you should expect Jesse Minter would go with him. Word from agent sources was he slow-played Jacksonville before they moved on and hired Atlanta Falcons defensive line coach Ryan Nielsen. Now I’m told Minter is fielding interest from the Giants and the Eagles (who he interviewed with last year), but that he’s waiting to see what Jim does.

Can anyone think of an example of a GM/Owner forcing a HC to fire his coordinators and it actually worked out?

I can't even think of a situation where the HC stayed, but both coordinators were fired.

You have to think Howie and Siri have been looking at OCs and DCs before the season even ended. I would say Rivera and Kingsburg are their top choices. Caldwell was most like a rooney rule interview.
