This is a message board.   People have every right to complain about the head coach, any time they wish, but especially after the horrific product we were subjected to over the last two months of the season.  They should definitely have a grace period for a coaching personnel decision that lasts as long as the crap fest we witnessed during the season.  Perhaps you could just deal with their complaints.

I get that and I'm all for criticism if deserved and Sirianni definitely deserves it.

However everyday it's the same posts.

What does Sirianni bring to the table?  What does he do well?  If he were fired who would hire him?  He's just a puppet.  He's nothing but a rah rah guy.  Blah, blah, blah.

Some or all of that may be true.  Not denying that.  But how many times do people have to post the exact same post everyday?

Until its worked out of their system.   How many times did this team throw a WR screen for no gain?  Probably need to post these things that many times.

Also, we haven't gotten official word of his return, or what is happening with the coaching staff.    Let folks vent their frustration.  There was plenty to be frustrated by.

If those were the only candidates I would say Joe Brady, Kingsbury, and Kubiak would be my preferences and wouldn't be upset with Bevell, Jerrod Johnson or Arthur Smith.  I still think Carmichael is worth a conversation as well.

Definite "No" to McDaniels and Bieniemy

Sounds like something someone who was scared of an unapproachable player would say!

Wasn’t Tiger Woods taking his side chicks to Wendy’s?

I think that's where he found them.

Seeing lots of speculation that this could be a reason for Carter Hart's leave. I haven't read anything that cements that but just a lot of people connecting dots.

The timing definitely looks suspect.

They are always late so it'll probably be closer to 3

Yikes!, if true.

Look at that transparency.

I’m almost positive he did take back play calling, he just didn’t turn it around. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that around the time it leaked out Patricia was calling plays on defense the offense started struggling comparatively to the rest of the season.  Add the report the players themselves were confused who was calling plays plus the fact the offense looked just as disjointed and stupid as it did the first 7 games of 2021. It paints a picture imo.

When do you think he took back playcalling? They completely fell apart after the lost to 49ers but there were plenty of games where we basically just squeaked by to get the win

It's too bad demotions are not socially acceptable, in football or in other professional spheres.

Do some great work in a more focused responsibility, get a promotion with more broad, diverse responsibility...screw up...get fired.  Some of it is employee, not just employer driven.  The demotion usually comes from taking the smaller job with a new employer.  No one ever takes the demotion from the same employer.

Maybe BJ should be the QB coach.  Maybe Desai should coach our secondary.  None of these things will happen, but not everyone just sucks after a bad year after a promotion.  Mike Martz, Rex Ryan, Buddy Ryan...all coaches born to be coordinators.

As a fascinating contrast, look at Jeff Stoutland.  He could have gunned for the HC track if he wanted.  Some team would have hired him for an OC promotion merely for what he'd bring to their OL.  He is, don't forget, our "running game coordinator."  No one criticizes him when Gainwell was ahead of Swift on the depth chart, when they have bizarre RB utilization, when the running game peters out and is use more in RPO gimmicks than decisive downhill runs.  We just focus on all the probowl OL he has developed.  He must prefer the stability of doing one narrow job very well and not getting swept up in regime changes while climbing the ladder.

Stoutland is untouchable and beyond reproach apparently

Add on Dillon dube also took a Leave of absence recently and was on that team.

Just putting this out into the ether, but my prediction is we trade a mid-round pick for Dameon Pierce. He doesn’t fit the Texans’ scheme, and we could certainly use that type of runner.

You're right.  Some people just like to complain about the same things everyday.

Not sure why people beat themselves up over it.  Eventually its time to move on.

That would be fun. In a bad RB class, might be worth it.

Lol

It's strange.  Last year, everyone was praising Jalen's "intangibles", leadership qualities, etc.  This year, seems like we want to tear him down as 'stoic' and 'unapproachable'.

I never understand these notions. So as fans on a message board we are always meant to think that all is good and rosy? And we are meant to just be happy and accept what we have? And we shouldn't voice our concerns or our issues even though a messaging board is a place to discuss and raise topics. I stand behind my view that Sirianni is not going to turn this all around and bringing him back is a mistake. And he may prove me wrong next year but he also may not. Doesn't change that I have those thoughts. Same goes with Howie. I am not at all convinced by him as GM but then he has produced 2 SB rosters in the last 6 years and has made the play offs time and time again during his reign. He tends to be good at times and then bad at times so maybe Sirianni will end up being similar.

Howie would last about 60 seconds on the unemployment line if he was fired. Sirianni can’t say the same.  Viewed through the macro lens, Howie has been a great GM.  Sure he has frustrating tendencies, and I would love for him to learn and adapt.  But it would be far, far more likely that the GM position would be downgraded rather than upgraded if they decided to make a change.  Again, I don’t feel the same with Sirianni
