Between Hurts not specifically endorsing Nick last night, to no leaks from NovaCare putting this speculation to rest -- it's clearly being discussed.

Please take a moment and feel bad for me. I won this auction and plan on taking my dad for his 80th birthday. They said it would be this offseason (auction was right before kickoff of the season). I may be screwed.

I'm going to go back to my Catholic grade school roots and find religion again. And from now until that lunch date, the ONLY thing I am going to be praying my rosary for is for you and/or your father to ABSOLUTELY SLAUGHTER HIM IN FING HORSE. And as you drain the winning shot, call him a poor. EDIT: and throw a bucket of popcorn at him.

Imagine if they pivot to lunch and fun & games with Bill Belichick

This team is "The Rise of Skywalker" in the franchise.

Are you sure it wasn't Revenge of the Sith?  I was sure I saw Jar Jar Binks calling the O.  Me-sa-like a bubble screen

I don't like him or that team but this was funny

The Gold Standard

The New Norm

We're not playing up to the standard.

Don't worry, it will be way more fun for you and your dad to play HORSE with Bill Belichick!

That actually makes a ton of sense. Switching to Patricia was like hiring Rian Johnson

Bro, you're banking on two 5'6" Indian guys in a basketball competition...

Hypothetical: Sirianni gone and Lurie gets Belichick, who brings J. McDaniels on board as OC. Would you feel confident that that combo would work well here?

Zero percent

Just blitz him. He'll have no idea how to handle it.

"Somehow, Patricia returned."

FWIW (Star Wars nerd alert): Rian Johnson did The Last Jedi.  JJ Abrams returned and directed The Rise of Skywalker and it was awful.  It's worse than episode 2 Attack of the Clones and that's hard to do.

In terms of heart, desire to win and maximizing their potential, the 2017 team - in a heartbeat.

In terms of raw talent that never came close to reaching its peak - this year, imo.

Nope.

QB - Wentz/Foles > Hurts/Mariota
RB - Blount/Ajayi/Clement >> Swift/Gainwell/Scott
TE - Ertz/Celek/Burton >> Goedert/Stoll/Calcaterra
LT - Peters/Vaitai > Mailata
LG - Wiz < Dickerson
C - Kelce > Kelce
RG - Brooks > Jurgens/Opeta/Steen
RT - Johnson > Johnson
WR - Jeffery/Smith/Agholor < Brown/Smith/Watkins

This team's 'talent' is overvalued, even offensively.  They should have been way better than they were, but the 2017 team was better,

And there's no point in comparing the defense.  Landslide for 2017.

Imagine if we had to play the Packers last night. They might have dropped 60 on us.

My hope is to sub in Howie. There was an auction for a 4 person lunch with Howie and then a VIP package to the Dolphins game, but I got outbid. So this was my backup.

I mean 80% of the fanbase wanting the most winning coach in franchise history gone for not meeting expectations kind of says a lot more about the fanbase than the organization, don't you think?

Says a lot about the level of collapse we just witnessed.  This was 1964 Phillies level collapse.

Yea I read it wrong and thought you were referring to that "franchise" of Star Wars movies

Why would Howie be fired? He constructed two Super Bowl teams in 6 years. They've made the playoffs 6 of the last 7 years.

Because he is extremely over rated. He got fortunate that he had a QB on a rookie contract, who also happened to play at an MVP level, while being able to make good free agent signings and trades. He can’t draft defense worth a F, aside from Jalen Carter, which he’s fortunate the Saints sucked bad enough to give us a top 10 pick. He’s ok drafting offensive linemen, but he also has the best oline coach on staff. With Hurts on the 2nd contract, and the team drafting in the 20’s, watch the inevitable shitshow that’s about to happen.

"Doing blow with Julian in a Miami nightclub bathroom" would be fun too

That would be fantastic. Two 5'6" Indian guys versus one 5'6" Jewish guy. That's Fing pay per view worthy right there. Hell. Stream it on Peacock.

I mean, dad's about to be 80. If watching this team didn't cause him to have a heart attack, this will.

You think Alshon, Agholor, and Ertz are better than Brown, Smith, and Goedert? Interesting

Lol I'm the opposite. That's fine. I know people won't agree about Howie

I think there are more than 3 positions to the offense.  Not that interesting.  2017 actually had and USED running backs.  I think they had better depth so that when the TE missed time, the offense didn't sputter and spurt like a V-6 engine with only 3 working cylinders.  I think the QB played at a much much higher level, and I think the backup QB runs rings around this backup QB, and we needed him.  I think the OL in 2017 was way better than this version also.

Surprised it's not rock paper scissors.

On a separate note… Watch out for a young kid called Louis Rees-Zammit who is a professional rugby player who plays for my home town team. He’s just signed on for the international player programme with the NFL. He’s a really explosive and dynamic player so I hope it works out for him.

Probably both honestly. But to be fair, losing both coordinators generally doesn't end well, and it ends even worse when they're younger coordinators to a non-generational head coach. Avoiding that by itself should be organizational policy moving forward in my opinion. Otherwise if we get double plucked we'll probably have similar issues.

I was just responding to the above when you quoted me. I actually can't argue against that breakdown. I was thinking in terms of only the WR weapons but you're right that as a whole it doesn't compare
