  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Please no more Fangio scheme.

But this time we get the guy that got blown out on the road constantly coming in.   This time will be different!!!   They were only 3rd worst on the road.  Our guy(s) were 3rd worst overall (and 3rd worst at home as well...)

#1% better.

Agreed.   The GM brought both the QB and the HC in... so in all reality... we have a huge issue with Howie.

With a $250 M problem at QB and a HC problem that isn't getting fixed this year.   So we will waste the prime of AJ Brown and D Smiths careers.... whilest we fumble about

Can't be.  He's the gold standard!

Who?

Not going to lie I’m actually happy they’re willing to bring in a new system for offense

Just how he's wording things. I know he has to be vague because there isn't a name yet but I'm just trying to read some tea leaves in this PC.

Sounds that way to me too.

Please no fangio.. his scheme has been getting destroyed. Bring someone from the ravens staff.. fangio had a talented defense in Miami and they couldn’t stop anyone

just a bunch of nonsense from nick and howie there.

not expecting much from this team next season

Good news guys...they are going to work hard!

They’re really going to bring in this dinosaur retread who opposing offenses just destroy, aren’t they.

I hope not.

Something really ironic about Howie talking about if you follow what other teams do all you get is the leftovers.

They literally had to pick from the leftovers to field a LB group this year.

Let’s just accept they don’t have any great ideas and it will be Frank Reich

Turns out the rumblings were legit.

Also turns out the Eagles still like flaccid D

I'm sick of the "Fangio scheme" too, but Fangio is a fabulous DC and he did a great job with Miami. Their defense was better than their offense down the stretch when Tua turned to mush. And they played much of the season without a combination of their starting corners and lost their best pass rushers.

It's fun to pile on the Eagles right now, but this is a great hire. I'd rather thave him than Rivera and there's no worry about Fangio being poached for a coaching position.

They better get him some talent though.

If you can't get excited about Fangio, I don't know what to tell you. He's still got it man. Did some really fun stuff with a Dolphins' D that was battered and bruised.

The more we learn, the more I simply don't get why they kept him.

So he can be the scapegoat for next season. This is what Howie does better than anyone else in the league. Not roster building, but fall guy grooming.

How exactly would things be different if we could take a time machine to the end of the Buffalo game?

If I had a Time Machine, I’m taking it to February 4th, 2018, and I’m setting it on a constant loop.

"I think it's important to bring in new ideas from someone who isn't part of this family of coaches...even if they are part of this family of coaches that is coming from somewhere else.  It's uh, its uh, its uh important.  It's important."

Nothing but gibberish and a total lack of direction from Sirianni.   I can see now bow he convinced Lurie.

Not being a smartass, but can you explain some of the things that he does that we should be excited about? The Eagles have modeled their defense after him for some time now no?

I'm more excited about the idea of a whole new mindset and scheme in here. I don't want more of the same. I want a fresh scheme that's not going to use the same retread players.

Fangio will get no back 7 and like it!

Cause we could abduct the other teams best players like in that movie called Celtic pride

3 years in and Nick is still "faking it until you make it" 😂

I want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, but as soon as he opens his mouth I just tune out

After hearing him compare Desai's demotion and going for it on 4th down I just turned it off

I think the defensive line was an abberation. I expect them to be much better in 2024. There was no excuse for them not to be among tops of the league in sacks with their talent.

The back 7 though... yeah. Get Fangio lots of help.

And please for the love of god, no linemen in the 1st round this year. Get him a DB they can build around instead of playing hot potato with them every couple years. Or go out and get him a stud safety like Winfield.
