This entire PC from both Roseman and Sirianni makes me feel way worse about 2024.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

Duce on the move again. That's 4 teams in like 4 years.

Fangio scheme is back baby

We now know whey they were late to the press conference. I expect an announcement later today

They took the offense away from him, you can tell. Or at least a big portion of it.

No, no, no. That can't be possible, because according to eagles insider Hazelton Eagle, what we've been seeing wasn't even his offense to begin with.

Not being a smartass, but can you explain some of the things that he does that we should be excited about? The Eagles have modeled their defense after him for some time now no?

I'm more excited about the idea of a whole new mindset and scheme in here. I don't want more of the same. I want a fresh scheme that's not going to use the same retread players.

Fangio actually will game plan against specific opponents and not let opposing #1 WRs (CeeDee) routinely attack our LB2 or CB3.

The only issue I see is that Fangio's scheme requires good LBs. It's bad a LB class, so I have no idea what they do here.

When the hell was he on the Jets?

It was never going to be a good presser the moment we knew Sirianni was being retained.

I forget who I had a conversation with on here, but I said there a top target if they would’ve known Jonathan Gannon was leaving and it was going to be Vic Fangio. And Vic Fangio probably would’ve stayed. This is exactly why I thought that. Because it soon as he became available, he’s the Eagles top target. No crap they wanted him to stay last year and we’re hoping Jonathan Gannon will get a job so they could upgrade from Gannon. Meanwhile Gannon Fed them so fangio went to Miami. He likely stays in Philly if we all knew wtf was going on with Gannon.

that said, I don’t want to fangio defense. Miami had injuries but everyone who run that’s system had issues last year.

He's overrated. A decent DC but not nearly as creative as people give him credit for. Aaron Glenn is starting to creep into this territory too.

Positives

-- Nick recognized the scheme has to change and they'll be running a scheme slanted toward the new OC thinking and that OC will be calling plays

-- Howie recognized the 31-game stretch (26-5) I referred to previously, and balanced the 7-game skid against that

Negatives

-- Didn't seem like Howie recognized the talent on defense is as bad as it actually is

-- Nick talked so long answering one question that he forgot what the question was

They smuggled him in with a shipment of Ivermectin.

That was my first thought. I think Duce told the Seahawks and Broncos too that he's joining the Browns.

Fing fangio. What a crock of crap

Sounds like they're still banking on Dean being that guy. Hate to break it to them, but not gonna happen.

Nothing but gibberish and a total lack of direction from Sirianni.   I can see now bow he convinced Lurie.

I think the last part was coach speak

Yea it sounded like he feels we can go with the guys on defense. Scary thought

I'd love to see a good Wing-T.

Panthers literally fired him November 27th. I guess he got some consulting job. But it would be pretty funny if Duce was just updating teams around the league his intentions.

People sure do know how to twist words.

He's not gonna come out and say to the press and public, "yeah our LBers sucked donkey D all year. If it was up to me, I'd throw them all down a manhole and weld it shut." Like JFC, I don't know why people think these PC's are going to be full of candor. They never are.

Fangio will be announced soon. Gross.

Mike McDaniel was asked about Fangio I think back on Monday and if Fangio's job was safe and he dodged the question.

Tells you all you need to know, really. McDaniel undoubtedly has had countless exchanges with his own DC to get ideas on how defenses might defend some of his plays and concepts, and if he came away feeling less than impressed, then what is there to know? And between the two of them, I trust McDaniel's opinion far more than Lurie, Howie, or Nick's. Should be interesting to see where the Dolphins go from here.

You set your expecations way too high, nothing good was going to come from that shitshow.
