It still amazes me that he's a HC in the NFL, there has got to be whole other angle that we don't know about.

If we can see it as Eagles fans, just imagine the perception from non-fans. We have to be the joke of the league with this buffoon at the helm.

Some do, some don't.  Not everyone thinks the same as you and others.

Was talking with a co-worker, who is a big football fan, after the Eagles season ended.  Was telling him Sirianni may get fired.  He said "why?  Hasn't he won a bunch of games and was just in the SB?"

I told him that's how Philly fans are.  Very impatient.  Soon as something isn't going right they want everyone fired.

Siri didn't do anything to fix the problems on offense. On defense, he made Desai the scapegoat and Patricia was worse. He didn't fix the problems and led the team to a 1-6 collapse.

I don't mind a CEO coach, there are others. But you also have to have a plan and fix things when they go wrong. Siri failed.

Okay, so uh. If we do hire Fangio as expected, I think that's actually really bad. On paper it's okay, like if you take the emotion out of it.

But I think you're creating a firecracker situation fanbase wise. Everyone's all over Nick, same people hate Fangio scheme defense, it basically sets up a situation where if the Eagles are not in the NFCCG or greater, every year, regardless of roster, fanbase will never be happy. Kind of a yikes, ngl.

On top of that, because Howie and FO was involved, that almost certainly means that organization interference rumors are true. Which is really, really bad. On top of that, if you want a DC with Head Coach experience, Fangio is worse than Rivera in that in almost every way, because Rivera did a much better job at long term stability in an organization as a head coach. Not good at all. On the bright side, it's a similar hire to Schwartz, on the bad side, it's a hire that literally no one in Philadelphia's fanbase has patience for.

Perfect. Exactly what this locker room needs.

I mean it's Jalen Ramsey.  He's an all pro complainer.

If Nick’s role as HC really is just the "Chief Vibes Officer” did anyone ask him what the hell happened to the vibes and culture the last two months of the season and if it got that bad, what value does he bring? There’s nothing wrong with a CEO style coach. Tomlin has kept Pittsburgh afloat, albeit not very competitive and Harbaugh does a good job with it in Baltimore. But neither of those guys ever had a disaster like Nick did this year.

They can remove Johnson and Desai/Patricia and hopefully their replacements are better. But they better hope it’s all sunshine and rainbows next season. Because if/when they drop two or three straight this roster is going to get PTSD from this past season. And it’s already in everyone’s mind that Nick is a borderline dead coach walking going into next year. It can get really ugly if they face any adversity.

I think deciding to keep him really came down to two things, neither of which have to do with his future ability: 1. They don’t want to go onto their third coach in five years. Optically that’s just brutal. And 2, Nick is fine being their puppet and doing things how they want.

He's at least getting a coaches salary to fetch Howie's coffee, wear a wire to Fangio's meetings so Jeff and Howie can listen in, and wash Julian's car.  Lurie just might fire the cleaning crew at Novacare and tell Nick to clean the bathrooms, even reminding him not to eat the urinal mints.

I don't think Reddick is in for just a restructure.  Reddick is going to want his mega new deal this summer and the Eagles would be wiser to trade him than to give it to him.

Slay played well last year.  I'm not taking cap hits to move on from him when he can still play.  Graham has already said he intends to keep playing and Cox I think will keep playing as long as teams are willing to pay him a lot of money.

Your takes never fail to be dumb

You want to give Reddick a massive new deal right as he turns 30?

I know he's kind of a whiner, but I think it's pretty clear what's going on. He likes putting clamps on people, that's what he plays for. So yeah.

How are the Eagles not going to be hit with tampering for this?

Boy, the Hollands really didn’t like Fangio.

I don't know what happened behind the scenes.  Sometimes issues can't just be fixed in an instant.  Wouldn't be the first time a team had high expectations and didn't play well for several weeks all while the fans asking why isn't it getting fixed.

I don't know if there were some bad locker room guys.   Maybe the locker room was divided over something.

All I know is the defense was embarrassing down the stretch and it looked like they just gave up.  Coaches are at fault but if the players suck or don't give enough effort then they should be gone.

To me it's no excuse for the players to quit or give lackluster effort because they don't like the coaches.  They were in a playoff game.

Welp not good if Johnson is taking over in DC

Agree on Dickerson.

I’d rather go after Jaylon Johnson and let Slay go. We don’t have to decide that until we see what happens in free agency.

I think we should target Trotter Jr. for sure. I’m sure I will have more ideas for the draft down the road.

Heard he has issues covering. We don't nees that again.

Miami already decided to release him from his contract AND they want Brandon Staley. This way they don't have to fire him and pay his contract.

It’s more than just Jalen Ramsey.

I wasn’t being super serious with that post anyway, but, I can see how it might be problematic given players already didn’t seem thrilled with the demotion of Desai, there will be more position coach firings and they are bringing in a guy who rubs some people the wrong way. We also have a few outspoken players on the team as well.

So I don’t think it’s a major concern, but certainly something to watch out for.

Simple.  They didn't tamper.

Chip off the ol' block, it seems. For real?

Yeah the announcement of his departure from the Dolphins also included how he was expected to be the Eagles DC.  No tampering there

They wanted an old guy that knows football to run half of the team, at this point Nick will have lost any respect he had, and if they hire a scheme for OC, he'll likely be young as well.  The only thing Nick will hear in his headset on Sundays will be Howie and Jeff telling him to make sure the Gatorade jugs are filled and tell the OC to run bubble screens.

Going this route they should of hired Leslie Frazier, at least his defense actually defends.
