Such a disappointment. I expected better but this is where Howie has to stop trading away picks for the has beens

Not only that but I'm starting to think Byard started the ball rolling on this whole Desai move. Circumstantial evidence that this started when he arrived and with all the let us scout we don't trust you stuff. Could only think an outsider/mercenary put the bug in folks ears. As we see Desai was protecting these bum DBs and LBs by playing off ball. They didn't have a chance. I'm speculating of course but it lines up.

@HazletonEagle we should change the thread to HE Wants The Eagles to Get. Nice info and research!

The Brendon Staley comparison is a good one. It just kept getting worse and worse and worse. The last seven weeks have felt like that as well.

Having said, Staley never remotely had anywhere close to the success Siri has had. But if the locker room is lost despite what players say publicly, I don't see how he gets it back. That's why I think Howie / Lurie interviews with the leaders on this team (Hurts, Brown, Smith, Johnson, Kelce, Cox, Grahama and Slay) will determine whether he is back or not.

How unacceptable is this? If you know your QB’s strengths are passing the short - intermediate routes to the middle of the field - why on Earth would the vast majority of your scheming and play calling be passes to the outside?  Blatant incompetence.   If this doesn’t get Sirianni fired, I don’t know what will.  SMH .
They had 1 amazing play to the middle of the field last night and never went back to it!  Unacceptable!

I thought that was guitar hero for a minute

Well, he did improve on the bubble screen to the left...

If Jeffery keeps Nick it's a signal to the world he's more interested in being in control than having a good coach. This could end up hurting the organization's reputation. Who wants to sign with a team that keeps a clueless coach in place?

Did Dallas fire McCarthy yet?  I would take him in heartbeat if he’s willing to take a coordinator position/co head coach. He did absolute wonders with Dak while in Dallas.

Imagine this scenario:

Bill Belichick as head coach/co head coach  - takes on all defensive duties/defensive player personnel decisions, etc - instant top 10-15 NFL defense.

Mike McCarthy offensive coordinator/ co head coach, with some offensive player decisions with Howie, etc

Match made in heaven.

Superbowlzzzzz!!

Bill is going to hire Josh McDaniels where ever he ends up. He has had the most success with him by his side

He can't interview my Grahama, she's dead.

That market is so saturated right now, but I may watch for the LOL's

I'd honestly rather listen to Marks than mushmouth Jack Fritz though...

And if the locker being lost is above Siri's  pay grade... then what?

Have a feeling Lurie heard it himself.  He cares about the outside perception

True.  I know he's aware of the absolute roasting the entire nation gave the coaches last night.  Aikman, Peyton Manning, former players like Westbrook and Dawkins.

Remind me never to get excited about Howie signing a "has been" in a position of need mid season and us crowning him for it.  Nothing but failures.  This year was Byard and Leonard.  Awful signings in retrospect.

Leonard was so bad he dressed and didn't play a single snap yesterday.

Anyone else think it's kinda weird Brown wasn't at the game?

I didn't hear that until about an hour ago.  Do injured players normally travel with the team, or do they normally not travel?

And for some reason he thought he was Lebron and wanted a full TV program for his decision LOL

Yea you can see improvement but also see his regression

I meant to ask that yesterday. Honestly I don't even know if that's a policy thing or what, or if maybe he would have been uncomfortable on a plane....or he just hates the coaches.

Not a policy thing. Maddox was at a lot of games while on IR. I remember seeing Dickerson as well for the game he missed.

Likely much ado about nothing, just thought it was kind of weird he would be at AC or wherever Saturday and MIA for the playoff game.

I've just wasted a few hours of my life looking through play of draft-eligible LB prospects.  I don't want to get too attached to any of them because (Howie).  Just my initial impressions on some:

Edgerrin Cooper (Texas A&M) -- best playmaking LB in the draft.  Hits hard and generally folks go down.  He plays downhill; not sure if he is asked to play in pass coverage at all.  Couldn't find him defending a throw.

Jeremiah Trotter (Clemson) -- also plays mostly downhill.  Good instincts for the position, makes a lot of plays blitzing the QB -- a little bit of a Parsons-lite.  Didn't see a whole lot of sideline-to-sideline ability, though.

Barrett Carter (Clemson) -- actually preferred him over Trotter.  Better sideline to sideline and covers more ground.  Better in pass coverage than the first two guys for sure.  Looks like a versatile 3-down LB for the 2024 NFL

Cedric Gray (North Carolina) -- really liked his film also.  Always seems to be around the ball and making plays.  Good tackler and versatile guy who can play the run and the pass, although his foot speed doesn't look the best.  Would need to see him test at The Combine or Pro Day.

Tommy Eichenberg (Ohio St) -- really good run stopping LB.  Not sure if he plays in pass coverage, not sure if they asked him to, not sure if he could do it if asked.

Obviously, depending on the round they're on the board I'd be comfortable with any of these guys as an improvement.  If the Eagles could get Carter or Gray at the end of Round 3, I'd be on board.

I'd guess they leave it up to the players. Maybe he stayed back to rehab?

Would be nice if they had shown the frequency as well.

Cooper is very good in coverage

They likely won't go LB earlier than Round 4... I mean they just spent a pick on Dean two years ago... they can't over do it.
