Tin foil ‘experts’ think Slay started a mutiny.  I’m not ruling it out…but that seems a little too far out.

My money is on Byard. Things got weird when he arrived. Slay actually complained about the change from Desai

The whole thing is murky!   Sort of a microcosm of the entire season.

I don’t feel like editing…so pt 2.  IDK that it really is ‘the entire season’.  I know we almost won a SB last year, but these issues aren’t new.  They’ve always been there, it’s just been luck, talent, script writing or IDK that allowed last years run to happen.  Granted they caught fire in week 10 or 11 after a horribly inconsistent first half.  This has been the same Siri coached team since he took over.

It may be just as likely the late season additions did. Vets like Roby and Leonard may have thought they were ring chasing. Then it turned to crap. Leonard seems pretty pissed based on his reaction to being asked if he sees himself here next year. Roby was initially a stabilizing presence in the secondary who recently decided to stop tackling so I get the sense that he is one of the players who gave up. Byard looked slow initially, but last night looked like he made some business decisions as well.

Roby was a bit sour that he got deactivated for Maddox. I'm going to point my finger at the mercenaries if there were locker room splits before the regulars.

Siri always had a good locker room. If he lost it its far more likely due to the outsiders who joined rather than those who have been here with him and each other.

That's part of the risk when bringing in guys late in the game that aren't assimilated into the culture.

Blaming the collapse on the newcomers is far-fetched imo.  The defense sucked before they got here and they did nothing to improve it.  I don’t see how they’d have enough clout to cause any mutiny that others would listen to.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they brought Vrabel in for an interview if they end up parting ways with Sirianni.   Seems like could potentially be a nice fit here.

A reunion with AJ Brown and Mariota and maybe Derrick Henry.

Theyre all respected vets. Byard and Leonard are pro bowl players. Roby has been around a long time as a really good nickel. They were all starters in this defense at various points in the season. And this turned out to be a dumpster fire for them when they came with expectations of title contention. They all also played poorly and probably looked even worse because of the coaching. Of course they were going to be pissed, and their veteran status, and pro bowl status surely gave them a voice in the locker room.

I feel there was some influence from some players to get Desai demoted. That is something that clearly split the locker room. That's something you just don't do in season trying to close it out. Then you have some folks that didn't buy into the offensive approach including the most important piece... the QB.

Everyone wants Siri fired so right now Hurts is exonerated of most of his faults. Theres been numerous examples of this happening which have been pointed out on twitter. Idiots mistakenly blame Siri for "his offense" and poor play design. But its the QBs job to communicate. One time, maybe a WR saw or heard the wrong signal. Numerous times, its a pattern and it means the QB isnt communicating the calls effectively. His job. Not on the coach. Not on the other players. The QB has to communicate the calls.

Lame.

I don't think he started a mutiny, but I think he checked out.  And we heard his comments all along.  He's been a lone wolf for quite some time.

Are the Lakers even in a play-in spot right now? This whiner who has quit on more teams than any other superstar better worry about his own damn team first.

Oh and while he is at it, he can give some shooting lessons to his kid. Dude went 0-7 in his first college start....

So were the Eagles

Who's the most tradable player on the team? As in it makes sense to trade him and he actually has value.

Probably Reddick

Nobody…anybody with a tradable contract is too valuable and would create another hole.  Smith, Mailata (maybe don’t know contract structure) and Dickerson.

It's the small things that are worth celebrating.
